My god, I sure hope it wont hit New Orleans. More hurricanes will mean more goverment relief efforts, which mean more of the governments relief effort money wont be getting to the people who need it. They will be even worse off with this hurricane hitting them.

Also this could possibly mean that we will have another episode of Kanye West stating something similar to "George Bush doesnt care about black people". George Bush has enough negative publicity as it is, and seeing as how he wont be president soon, he probably doesnt care about anyone anymore... Best for us not to push him to his wits end.

I saw on the weather earlier this evening that it was expected to be a CAT 5 at landfall.

I feel extremely bad for New Orleans.

Tell me about it, already lost everything once.....

Fortunately, I have moved about 50 miles north of the city since Katrina hit. I plan to stay here and wait it out. Already got my "storm stash"

I guess we'll see if those repairs on the levies were good enough. I sure hope so. GW had better not screw it up this time. Not too often do you get a chance to do a "do over".

I've always kind of liked hurricanes. I've been in three and they were all very exciting. (And the parties are great.)

But get out of there if you're in danger, people. I hope everyone comes out okay.

Really though, why are people moving back to New Orleans/that area? I mean, every year the same area is demolished by hurricanes. People rebuild and it happens again. I just don't understand it one bit. But it is their home, so I hope this season passes gently.
