Last night, I hit this 2 liter gravity bong that I made, usually the first hit pretty easy, the second harder, and the third is hard, but Im done. But last night was much different. I took the second hit, off of a makeshift bowl, the first hit was given to my brother.

But anyways, when I hit it, I could only hold it but 2 seconds, as compared to the usual 10-15 secs. I immediately started coughing like crazy and i felt like there were burning coals in my chest that i had to cough up. I was coughing so much I couldn't breath, then my body started trying to breath as reflex and i started swallowing air like when you try and burp. It was like hiccups and coughing fit at the same time. I also went blind for a good 10=15 seconds.

I was really freaking out and though i would die. I also got very very high off of that one hit, more high than i have ever been in fact. but nontheless, could one explain to me why this hit was so much harder than normal. I had also worked out that day a bunch.

I was also high at school today, yeah. It lasted that long.


Please reply with any questions, you may need, what i should do to avoid it and whatnot.

when i first bought my glass bong, i filled it up and cleared it 2 or 3 times in one hit, and i thought a donkey had showed up and stomped my nuts...

i did about the same thing, afterwards. i thought i was going to die...

i think it has something to do with the thickness of the smoke? im not sure. but, i got stomped in the nuts and learned a lesson...

Probably really thick smoke, with some ashes being dragged in because of a poorly made "makeshift bowl".

Try smoking again out of a different piece, and see what happens. It shouldnt be too bad, doesnt sound like it.

Yeah, previously i had a smaller 9mm bowl, now its up to 11mm therefore, the smoke is thicker cause no air gets in

I am sure you took a dry hit by the way you described it (yes it is possible to take a wet hit out of a gravity bong, its difficult but makes it a lot smoother, you also need a long stem for this though, usually have to buy a glass gravity bong) and yeah 2 liters of smoke is a BIG hit specially out of a gravity bong because the smoke gets so insanely thick. You felt like it was burning because it was a dry hit (no water mixed in with it) and all the ash and crap was still in it because it didnt get filtered. You went blind because you couldnt breathe, and the gulping air thing is just a thing some people do when they try to breathe. You dont always have to take such huge hits out of a gravity bong, smaller hits are actually quite nice out of them. If you are in a still room, try taking the top off and slowly push down on it and inhale the smoke with more air, then hold the top when you are full and let someone else finish it. I'm not even going to try and explain how to take a wet hit out of one, the physics involved makes no sense (and im a physics major) and it looks like magic.
