Is it so hard to stop because all of your friends smoke? maybe family? a little more detail in your day to day life would really open up suggestions on how to quit.

it's harder for some people than others. some people have addictive personalities. i highly recommend you don't smoke cigarettes, because if you need help quitting MJ, i'd worry about the case of cigs, which are about 1000 times worse for you.

my advice for the mj, do you have a dealer? take his number off your contacts list. don't remember it. the one thing you want to start doing is stop buying. then in a little while not smoking altogether will become easier. if your friends do it i'd wait like a month or so before you start hanging with them then. you should be past any urges after that point and should be able to socialize with them. hopefully they don't only smoke when they hang out.

kinda weird for a kid to start and stop at such an early age. reminds me of my friends who quit smoking MJ in 6th grade. just...weird, idk/

I've never had serious withdrawl. Its all in your head! You THINK you need it. Personally I'll be depressed for about a day or two, and not really wanna eat. After the 3rd day, I'm fine as long as I keep my bongs out of sight. I usually control my self to the weekend when school and work don't prevent me. (I dunno bout you pplz but i feel the effects of a high way the next day,. and cant concentrate for like a day at least)

Sorry to be so harsh but in all serious-ness when you all say "Weed has no physical addictiveness" you have to stick to the same facts when your trying to advocate the drug as when your faced with the same problem. I don't know whether weed is addicting or not, but in all seriousness, I think we should stick to absolutly true and concrete arguements to the non smoking world lest we become hipocrits

There are so many things wrong with this.
I just got done posting in a thread where a 15 year old got busted and wanted advice.
And now someone TURNING 14 wants to quit.

13 is DEFINITELY not an old enough age.
THIS is what gives the prohibitionist their ammo.
Not saying its your fault, maybe parents, but still.

If you can't spell throughout right, you really should not be smoking.

And it is NOT hard to quit weed, it is the least addictive drug out there (i suppose that could be argued). Just quit, I've done it before, for jobs, as well as MANY of my friends. It would help to find a hobby, anything to keep you occupied, but really, you shouldn't even need that.

eh...but maybe I'm too harsh.

(and before someone gets on me about making fun of her spelling error, please know what grammar is)

HELP quitting weed? or ADVICE to quit cause if you just give it up for a few days youll be fine.

no crazy withdrawal like narcotics and the likes do, this is a plant not a bag of heroin. But if you have an EXTREMELY addictive personality then you shouldnt have much trouble getting addicted to something else, something healthy. Just find a good hobby or something, change your friends if they are giving you a hard time. I hate to say it but if you dont want to change your friends right now, realize your gonna have a completely different set of friends once you hit high school so its all about priority

Yes see it may be easy for you,
because i'm guessing you're social, and can actually speak your mind.
with my situation it's a little different,
because I can't talk, I have trouble with eye contact, and
I have maybe two or three friends, that live far.
I cannot occupy myself very well...
so it's hard to avoid doing it.

I might say ohh i think im gonna quick, and then two weeks later
BAM! I'm high.

Also, I'm just stupid,

I've been stupid since like 6th grade,
and it's deff not because I smoke,
because I started like 6 months ago.

you're right; we can't help you. especially if the only advice we give (get a hobby, go outside, etc) is the only advice that will work. I don't want to sound cheesy, but it's completely up to you to quit, if that's what you want to do (and I think you should).

So ask yourself some questions:
What do you normally do when you smoke weed? Is it when you're sitting around with nothing to do? Is it when you go outside?

Do you live in a big city? The country? Spend some time outside. Do your friends smoke weed? Can you make them stop?

You need to examine your habits very closely and start to ELIMINATE the habits that lead to smoking weed. Got too much time on your hands? Well, damn, here comes that "hobby" word again. If you have other things to do, then I don't understand why it would be difficult to quit!

Personally, whenever I decide to take a break for a few months, I don't change any habits at all. I normally go outside for a walk when I smoke weed. When I quit, I just go for a walk without the weed.

Last year I took a three month break and I continued to hang out with my smoking buddies. I would even go out on the porch with them and lend them my pipe. They'd get all baked and I would just pretend that I was smoking... sounds cheesy but it worked.

Good Luck! Please let us know how it goes.
