Wouldn't it be a GOOD thing for someone with anorexia to smoke weed?

I mean, simply as far as stimulating their appetite yes. As far as other symptoms or complications with anorexia, I am not sure.

It's actually used sometimes to help someone eat.. people with nausea, etc..but anorexia isn't about not being hungry. It's about a lot more than that. Body image issues, control, etc. It's not about hunger.

I think the effects would neither help nor harm. They would balance each other out.

It would probably turn an anorexic into a bulimic, would be my guess. The anorexic would binge after smoking pot, feel absurdly miserable about herself, and vomit up anything she ate from sheer paranoia alone. I seriously doubt an anorexic could have a good high. Sooner or later those "I'm so fat" demons would come charging into her mind, ruining revelation and relaxation.

Well if they eat, then wouldn't that help cure other ailments caused by that?

I know one of the medicinal uses of weed is to get people to eat (chemo patients, etc.). But don't you think a few blunts or bong rips of some chronic may relax some of those demons. I mean everyone is different, but still, could work.

I think if the pot was good enough and enough was smoked, and the person is not over whelmingly psych ward crazy with anorexia, they would eat. And if they were to stay high long enough, the food would move from the stomach, and by the time the high is gone so is the food. Therefore, no puking, or at least food. And if they were to do this long enough, MAYBE they could train themselves into it being normal. I don't know, never seen any anorexia-weed studies.

I agree, if your fucked up, as in failing school, no future, and all you want to do is get high then you should not be using marijuana. Marijuana is for recreation, people who let it consume their life dont deserve to use it.

If your fucked up, as in really high, I dont think that you should smoke more. But it will not do you any harm. I however dont like to push the envelope. I smoke until I am where I want to be, and Im done...

Well I could argue the latter, ahah, but that would be missing the point of this thread. Which was the anorexia part.
