I dunno...personally, I think the "Badlands" in SD come pretty close as well, and I HAVE gotten high there multiple times. I LOVE going there in the most "offseason" you can get (usually winter). You have the entire park, which is HUGE, basically to yourself, and is quite the humbling experience. It certainly makes you feel tiny and insignificant!

The main highway, I think it was 70, that goes through Utah has some insane terrain.There is a stretch of 120 miles or so with no towns and it crosses and area that looks like some bizarre alien landscape. It is desert, but it's all different colors and is very foreboding. I got new respect for the pioneers that crossed it and the natives of the area. IF I came out of colorado in a wagon and saw that ahead of me I would have turned back!

Nice find, I'd like to visit that island, those dragon blood trees look insane
