Not always the best advice. In bigger cities in the US, the police often use "reverse stings" where they pose as drug dealers, and arrest anyone attempting to buy from them. Usually, the cops dress just as you describe....like the typical smoker/dealer/drug fan.

^ Well what else can you do? Anyway, I doubt that cops actually go to that much trouble for just pot smoking, or is the US totally screwed in the head about pot.

...uhhh....yeah they do. They are called narcotics detectives. They are paid to dress like your average joe, ask ya for drugs/offer them,and then bust ya.

Not quite. They can't legally ask you if you wanna score some drugs, because that would be entrapment. They can, however, just look like drug dealers so that you ask them for mary jane. then they can bust you.

You have to hang out with people who smoke, get them to like you then if you are lucky you might find a regular hook-up. If you don't want to be social and make new friends you will have a very difficult time finding a hook-up on a regular basis. I went for months without any regular person to get it off of and I finally came to the conclusion that I was going to have make new friends if I was going to find good connections. You also can't go by what someone looks like. The guy I buy from right now is a white collar professional who is in upper management at a local bank. The least amount he will sell for any one transaction is an ounce. He moves a lot of weight so I might not have him forever due to the fact that the more you move the better the chance of getting busted. I do believe he will eventually get busted because I know of people who purchase pounds off him regularly.

Friends and referrals. Friends are willing to help you out, and if they can't- they'll point you in the right direction. If you just moved to a new town give it some time, you'll find a connection soon enough. Worst comes to worst, Look for the signs of a smoker in the people around you. Without trying to stereotype, a dreaded out hippie will not report you to the police if you ask him where you can score a bag. What's the worst that could happen? Just ask him.

If you go to school and your new, I'd go ask the skaters first. They'll point you in the right direction. Seriously they will. If not them then someone else will.
