Hey guys, I am a little confused... I dont smoke pot very often, I have only done it a few times, but its not like you see on movies or t.v.

On T.V, and movies, sometimes people see weird shit, or they see like weird images (like looking through a kaleidoscope) I have never once seen weird shit, or anything like that. Does it actually happen?


In my experience:
I smoke a J, and when it hits me, I feel my heart start to speed up, and within a few min's I feel a warm tingle from my feet to my brain. Then a few mins later my mouth feels dry as hell, and I need water or something. Then usually I just have other random pot smoking effects, like slowed reaction, zoning out, loosing concentration etc... Oh, and if were driving around, I see shit like zoom in. EX, We were comming up to a 4 way stop, and i saw it then like blanked out for a milisecond then all of a suddon the intersection is like 5 feet away (it wasnt actually I just thought it was) and were still going like 60 KM/H. Kind of weird, but its funny haha

So if you see weird shit etc does that mean its laced with acid or something or is it that your just baked out of your tree?

What is a normal/average high supposed to be like?

no not neccesarily man, whenever i see cool immages it is ussually triggered by something like if i look at something trippy but that it is only when i am really baked.
i mean if you want to see immages by means of smoking pot then just get some exotic bud or headies or even dank if you dont have a high tolerance and smoke alot i guess?
also, whenever i try to imagine seeing stuff, in other words i am telling myself "see something wierd" then it never happens, it has to happen by itself, if that even makes sense lol

and sometimes movies potray weed the wrong way, i mean i havent been smoking for too long but i have never felt like/act like the people in stoner movies, yet i do feel like i am in a movie haha

I have never seen anything weird really besides from what I said about driving around. I would say I have a low tolerance, with like 4 people sharing a joint, it takes me about a joint and half to be flying high.

I know what you mean about you feel like your in a movie, thats how I feel when I get high, haha.

but thats what happens to me man, in the car, because we are going so fast or what seems fast if i blink it feels like i teleported

but have you even had the strobe light effect? its kind of like but its much more intense lol

Yeah... I don't see anything. I do notice colors in more detail.

For example..... Notice Peanuts hair. I watched Jeff Dunhams routine, and my jaw absolutely drops every time I see his green hair wave back and forth.

First of all, it's doubtful that anyone has truly hallucinated from smoking marijuana alone. As in seeing things that are not actually there. Anyone who says they have is either lying, or just thought that they were hallucinating because they expected or wanted to. Sometimes I get shaky vision, where it looks like my computer screen is moving back and forth even though I'm holding still, but only until I blink or look away. I also get that "zooming in" feeling while driving, but I mainly blame that on my shitty depth perception. It's not like on TV/cartoons/whatever. I've never seen a kaleidoscope, pink fuzzy elephants or any of the other stupid elementary shit that is stereotypically associated with any kind of drug. If you ever actually hallucinate from smoking weed, and you'll know if you do, chances are you got more than your bargained for.

With that out of the way, am I the only one in the whole universe who doesn't think Jeff Dunham is funny? My friend always wanted to get baked and watch his stuff, but I always thought the novelty of his routine kinda wore off after the fist 5 seconds.


Edit: This just happened 6 seconds ago and I really wanted to tell someone about it and this thread seems like a good place. So there's some bubbles around the inside of this cup of coffee I'm having, and there's some light that's reflecting off the bubbles and somehow making a little part of each bubble shiny and colorful, it's kind of hard to explain...I feel like I should use the word spectrum or something...but whatever. It just looks really cool, that's all. And oh yeah, I just took about 4 massive milky vape hits.

It's all lies man. TV makes you believe stuff that's not true. I remember this one episode of That 70's Show where Eric is talking to his dad, and Eric is completely blazed, and behind his dad you can see the wall paper moving up. I guess they do it to make the point clear, HE IS HIGH. But no, you don't see weird shit. Even though one time, after a 6-7 month lay off period, I saw the shadow of a dragon, then again it was probably just the shadow of a tree branch that looked like a dragon.

Ok, cool, I was kind of unsure if I was really "high" and not just like half way there and due to my inexperience I think I am baked out of my mind. If your bud was laced with LSD or something, then you would see pink bunnies and things running around wouldn't you?

LSD burns at a much higher temperature than weed, so it can't just be dripped on weed and smoked...

Plus, laced bud is more of a myth than anything, the odds of it happening are ridiculously low.

Same With Offtopic - Mushrooms - I Only Bring This Up To Further Eliminate The Misconception (usually among newbies) that Weed can Be Laced With Magic Mushrooms - Also as Fuzzyglock said - lsd (for the same reason as shrooms) has too low of a burning rate - the active ingredients of these substances would simply be Destroyed By the Flame.
