| Now this has to do with the tolerance of marijuana and the duration that marijuana's in the body (aka experiencing the minor after effects i.e- burned out) What affects your tolerance more and how long marijuana is in your body aka affecting you, the amount you smoke or frequency? Aka smoking .2grams everyday vs. .7 grams two days a week (each adding to 1.4 grams a week). Based on your predictions and experience, which is more major? Are the affects directly proportional? It would seem to be equal, though you never know if there's some certain factor that changes either or... |

| I can't wait to see the outcome of this thread. It sounds very interesting! I use marijuana as medicine, on a daily basis, and usually the same amount. It varies from 0.5 grams to 0.75 grams, depending on my level of pain, and nausea. I don't really have a tolerance problem, and I probably can't help with your question because of my usage, but I still look forward to the discussion. ![]()

| Picture your body as a bucket with a tiny hole in the bottom. You can pour stuff into it quickly, but it's going to leak out slowly. The more you put in, the longer it's going to take to leak out. If you're filling it up faster than it can leak out, either by big additions or frequent smaller additions, you'll be building up a surplus. Having cannabis metabolites in your system has absolutely no effect on your mind or body. They're completely inactive. Their only relevance is to drug testing.

That's a very interesting statement right there. I've seen various studies showing that there are no permamanant effects of marijuana, though there are some that last up to a month (though less affective as time moves on within that month). I've always believed this, like your attention or whatever is ever so slightly impaired during that week or month, though these affects completely run off after you wait about a month. I'm just saying that, not knowing whether it's true or not, but just saying the other side. I honestly don't know the answer, so I'm guessing your side of the story is right. EDIT: I agree with you Up In Smoke | |

| I think that was a bad example Buzz, When you pour something into a bucket with hole in the bottom, the weight of the water (especially at the top) will make the water come out of the hole a lot quicker when the water is towards the top portion, then once it starts to get to half way, the pressure will be much less, and the flow of the water will subsequently less as well. But thats not to say Buzz isnt on to something here. I think this question has more to do with smoke exposure. With daily usage, you get tar input more frequently. Yes ultimately its going to be the same, but with breaks in between, your body may have a greater chance of rejuvenating itself. | |

| I have a question Buzzby "Having cannabis metabolites in your system has absolutely no effect on your mind or body. They're completely inactive. Their only relevance is to drug testing." How long approximately does it take for all of the "active" metabolites to become inactive? (Aka no more affects including burned out feeling) |

| There are no "active" metabolites. Metabolites are to THC as ash is to wood. Very heavy users might have detectable levels of THC in their blood for a couple of days. I doubt that this is the cause of "burn out". I don't know what causes it; I don't think anyone does. I suspect that it has something to do with a deficiency of neurotransmitters (used up while high) and possibly a vitamin deficiency. I know that a hefty dose of B-Complex and Vitamin C helps when I'm feeling burnt out. |
