So, I recently quit weed (about a month ago) and I have made a deal with myself to not smoke until I leave home. Now, I have one question. Is it possible to smoke weed in university without getting caught, and what is the penalty for getting caught? Is it even worth the risk? I would like to know, so I can make an informed decision for my future.

Pfffffft...the most serious penalty anyone I know who got caught toking at university was community service.

The size of the smoking implement or quantity done at once won't make much of a difference, it will still generate an odor. And unless the OP is a featherweight, what's the point of taking one hit at a time?


Most other posters said it best, it depends on the university...mostly as a function of the local politics on MJ and the school's background. Knowing where you're going to uni would be better in the process of making an "informed decision."

If you only put enough in to take a single hit at once, then there's no smoke coming off of the bowl afterward. If you pack a fat bowl that you can't finish in one hoot then smoke rises off of the cherry.

I originally said that I *suggest* he uses a small piece, as opposed to a massive bong or something because they're typically easier to handle and are easier to conceal if need be.

What's the point of taking ONE HIT if the point of smoking is to get BLAZED? Even KB never got me stoned in one hit. There are other venues for smoking that don't involve a method so ineffective. Smoke in a secluded area outside, towel the door and get a spoof, etc.

IGemini- he's saying pack only a hit at a time, not smoke only a hit each session. That way, you don't have anything left cherried and burning off excess smoke. Then you pack another single hit, and continue until you're stoned.

EDIT- It's been called to my attention that my use of the word "bastard" could be construed as flaming and me being insulting. I'd like to apologize if that was how it was taken. It was meant to be a sympathetic, commiserating sort of "poor bastard." As in, "Did you hear about Jim? His dog died." "Damn, poor bastard." Perhaps it's simply a personal idiom born from a upbringing with a father that swore like a sailor. I was just saying it's unfortunate that IGemini's never had weed to get him stoned in one hit, whether because he has a high tolerance or simply never had access, I don't know. It's just wicked fun to get totally baked off of one hit.

From what i have learned, its not a big deal at all. I have partied and multiple colleges close and far from mine, community and university, and brought a blunt to a lot of them. In fact, a lot of the college's expect drunk people on campus let alone a couple of stoners walking around.

Now if your college is held at a higher standard, they will be more strict about it.

i chill in a buddy's dorm at college and he smokes in his room every night. In fact last year the advisor for our dorms came in and smoked with us after we asked him. haha. ahhhh the life of community college

but i used to have a roommate who didnt like me smoking in the apartment, so here is what i did and my advice to you, i mean it worked for me in the past:
Smoke in the bathroom with the shower on (HOT WATER), towel at the bottom of the door. Leave the vent on, and spray some air shit/crack a window when u leave.

Or if the security there is weak, just roll it in your bathroom, sit in your car, make a fast toke, and get back safe into your dorm room before the renta-cops cruise by. haha

im currently at a university in north carolina. to smoke on campus is just completely retarted. if you get caught (here anyways), you are expelled. However if your caught by off campus police, the school has no jurisdiction (atleast here). So i smoke off campus. the college i go to is in a small ass town, so me and my friends just go driving up a mountain and smoke our blunts then come back. air the truck out on the way back, and spray the truck when were back. Its all good then. Plus (atleast here), they cant search your room without cops. All they can do is walk in, and look around, so just dont keep your weed out and you will be fine. if your smart about it, you will be fine.

Depends what school. My university, we all smoke right outside the door, morning noon and night. No one ever really cares as long as your not being obnoxious or causing a problem. If you do get caught by someone who cares, you have a meeting with the head of public saftey (who is pretty cool), and write a paper/attend a class. I'm sure some schools are different though.

Every school is *definitely* different. The university I go to here in Canada is in Montreal.. and therefore it's practically Europe here. Last year in residence we could smoke in our rooms as long as we kept the smell to a minimum. Our RA (floor guy) was really cool and would hassle us more about cleaning up beer bottles than the smell of pot.

If you're worried about the smell in your dorm room, then I would suggest buying a small piece (metal/glass pipe) and pack just enough in the bowl to cash it all in one hoot.
From there, just keep the smoke in your lungs and either blow it straight out the window (with a fan behind you blowing towards the window) ... or blow it through a small rubber tube (no more than 2 feet).

The tube acts like a straw and directs the smoke entirely out the window, which is good because then you don't even need to spray Axe/Tag, since there's no smell to cover up.
