Hey everyone, I'd like your opinions on my situation. All feedback is appreciated.

Basically, I go to a good university in Canada, one of the top ranked (if not the top). I'm in my second year and live off-campus in an apartment and have received 2 A's and one B on my midterms so far. I'm still waiting for the grades of my other 2.

I find when I go to class I take notes but they aren't always coherent, and I've noticed they tend to be scribbled down quickly. I've also noticed that when the time comes to study for a midterm (or final)... I'll allocate a # of days to study (say 4) for that particular exam, and in those # of days I cover *all* of the material in the textbook and make sure to understand it and I also look over the notes the professors supply.

I guess I just find going to class a waste of time because by the time the midterm rolls around, I've forgotten 3/4 of what the professor was talking about on a particular day, and I end up learning it from scratch in a few hours at the library by myself.
I just feel like I've paid to go to the school and so I should go to the classes... but I don't know if it will help my performance.

Can anyone provide similar experiences or words of wisdom?
