And by weird, I mean something unexplainable.

I saw what I believe was a ghost in high school. I woke up one night to find some guy standing in the corner of the room watching me sleep. I just laid there and stared back at him for what seemed like an eternity before I blinked and he was gone. I found out a year and a half later that the son of the family who lived in the house before us drowned in our swimming pool.

Just last night, I went over to my cousin's house and there were hundreds of millipedes squarming the threshold of her door. They weren't anywhere else - the sidewalk, the grass, nowhere - just on the 2' x 2' patch of cement in front of her door. In the middle of December. Weirdest thing I ever saw.

I noticed it when we came out for a cigarette (or she did - I just stood with her) but I didn't say anything about the bugs because I thought I was hallucinating. She asked me what was wrong because I kept compulsively checking my shoes for crushed bugs and looking on the carpet to see if there were more. I finally told her and she went to look - they were definitely real. I was checking my shoes because I figured if I had been standing in a swarm of bugs, there would be some on me. But there wasn't, so I just figured I was tripping and kept my mouth shut.

What weird things have you seen?

Anyway now on to the real unexplainable things.

Hmm way back when I was in idk maybe 4th grade I was at a friends house sitting on his couch waiting for him when i see a 1ft tall 3 ft long, semi-transparent, red, two-headed dragon type creature run into the living room down the hallway and then split apart and one goes into my friends room, the other into his sisters.

Then maybe in 6th grade I was falling asleep, listening to the radio, and all of a sudden it felt like I was being pushed down, repeatedly, into my bed. Like someone was trying to wake me up. But I couldnt talk/scream, couldnt move, couldnt do anything for like 45 seconds while this whole thing was going on. And there was nobody there.

And there have been a couple times where doors will randomly fly open in my house, my dad would complain about hearing footsteps when nobody was home, and one time my mom ran out of her room and started yelling "go away ghosts" - but she's kinda crazy so idk if thats a valid story. Lol

when I was younger I was terrified of E.T., I saw the movie when I was 4 or 5 and I had never seen it since. When I was 9, I was sleeping, and I felt this hot breath on the back of my neck, I rolled over and E.T. was next to me in bed. Then when I blinked, he was gone.

Oh and today, after my exam I came home and blazed, and took my dog for a walk. When we were on the way home, I thought I heard him talk to me. hahahah, that made me laugh for a long time.

I have very little patience for belief in the paranormal. Your brain is comprised of millions of differing neurons laced with a huge variety of chemical messengers which transmit electric charges across the synapses between one another to synchronise your thoughts, senses and everything discernably "you". You'd think people could forgive the odd occurrence of deja vu or sleep paralysis as par for the course in such a complex system... but no: it was a ghost; supernatural or (best of all) God.

The same goes for UFOs: you're held fast to a rock by the force of gravity enveloped in a thin layer of atmosphere, the motions of which release unimaginably vast amounts of energy in a variety of ways. Underneath you is a mantle of magma revolving around a core of molten iron and nickel which causes a huge electromagnetic field to surround the earth... but those lights in the sky? Aliens. Uh huh.

Sorry, but I can't help being cynical about these things. I would suggest reading up on sleep paralysis, though.

Couldn't such a complex system be responsible for some aspects of supernatural phenomena, like telepathy or precognition? I would not argue that I am a wholly practical person but I like to think I have a pretty even keel most of the time. But I've definitely felt/seen/heard things that I cannot explain. Maybe science could, but I can't. So sure I'm gonna be freaked. If you see something your eyes insist is there and your brain insists is not, you're gonna get some crossed lines. Hallucinatory/supernatural experiences jar me on the pretense that they could be real.

So you don't believe in aliens at all, or you don't believe they have visited this backwater boondocks planet?
