| There was a teacher from one of our area high schools that was charged with molesting 17+ students. His charges range from voyeurism, molestation, sexual indecency with a minor, and sexual misconduct. Anyway, through the course of the trial, 17 kids testified to the abuse and things they suffered from this ex band director. A person in a position of trust. And he loored these kids into playing this "do you trust me game." So, in the end, they dropped the voyeurism charges due to various reasons, and they dropped some other charges. Out of 25 charges, he was found guilty on 16. 12 counts of sexual indecency with a child and four counts of second-degree sexual assault. Do you guys know what this guy receives as a prison sentence? SIX FUCKING MONTHS!!! and a $180,000 fine! HTF do they think six months is justified for molesting 17+ children? Where does the system come up with this bullshit. Seventeen or more kids have to live with this horrible nightmare, and other than registering as a sex offender, this guy has to do six months, and not even in general population! That shit is for the birds!!! ![]() A friend of mine got busted with a pound of weed and did 9 months. Wheres the justice in this? And this is even for the same county!! The same judge, the same people (except jury of course) decided that one pound of weed carries a heavier punishment than ruining the lives of 17+ boys. Yes, all this guys victims were boys. I know the small town, mickey mouse bullshit prevails, but this is ridiculous!! |

| I agree, he should have received a longer sentence. However, if I'm not mistaken, he will have to register as a sex offender and be listed in a data base for the rest of his life. I think it goes by state, not federal. Here's a link to one I check quite often. FDLE Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators I did find this: Arkansas Crime Information Center

| yes, and he will never teach again, and his reputation is scarred, but still, I think it is a very small price to pay for the crimes he was found guilty of. Being a newspaper reporter, the Arkansas Crime information Center is a site I am very familiar with ![]() |

I agree. Punishing the the pot smoker more severely is a crock, and disgusting. It sends a message that it is better to molest a kid than smoke a plant. ![]() | |

| Exactly, what kind of message are we sending when we let people get away with this shit? Its unfair for those boys. But thats the system.

| That's really disappointing. If there are mandatory minimum sentences for drug crimes, there HAS to be the same implemented for sex crimes.

| All this is telling me is that the US is in great need of money. $180,000 fine plus 6 months? 6 months is great for the states bank. Does Jail solve the problem? nope. He'll meet like minded fucks in there, get ideas, then come out more aware of what the real deal is. Complete Injustice. | |

| That is unbelievable. Six months? And not in general population? Thats insane. They should have added A LOT more time or at least throw him in with the big dogs so they can take care of him. |
