Default I feel like I am wasting my weed...

When I first started smoking a couple of months ago, I would smoke and just listen to music (Could you be loved, Take me home - collins); I would just try to hear new beats I had never heard before and just try to connect to my body, with my eyes closed.

Now I am back to old hat. I smoke and then I overstimulate myself by watching tv while I go online and multitask. I feel like I kill my buzz and don't get the most out of it. While I still enjoy the buzz, it's just not what it can be.

Thoughts?

You know, I kind of feel like I've been the same way lately.
That I still enjoy a smoke but I feel so...fried.
Both physically and mentally.
I think I just need a day off from life and to get a good sleep to reset my mind...

It's tolerance probably.It sounds like you like the "rush" part of the experience, felt much longer and stronger when you have a low tolerance. Pot has a greater effect when you don't smoke it too often. Before i smoked it medically i just toked on weekends mostly,depended on the job I had, and took frequent breaks. This kept my tolerance low so I got really really high on weekends and off a smaller amount of weed. I smoke everyday now to keep my tolerance high so i don't get very high, so I can do things while high. You got to determine what you want out of it and adjust your intake accordingly. For me just a break off 5-7 days drops my tolerance low enough to get seriously messed up the next time i smoke.That lasts about two days and by the third or fourth day smoking everyday my tolerance is already high enough to not be visibly high right after toking. I imagine it's different for everyone time wise

Man, I guess I need to curtail my posting here. I am used to another forum that seems far more carefree and passive, everyone here is quite literal and serious; it's fine, I just need to make the appropriate adjustments.

I really enjoy smoking, I am just not enjoying it as much as when I am not doing anything. It's a behavioral thing. If I am just sitting in a dark place high, I will feel much more of a body buzz than if I am outside at an amusement park, being stimulated by multiple other sensations.

I think I should try to give myself the first 15 mins after smoking to just chill and enjoy it before I carry on with all my other crap.

Er, okay...

I don't understand why it surprises you that people took your question seriously - it wasn't like you posted a "Duuuuuuuuuuuudez, Im so HI RITE NAW" thread, in which case people would probably laugh at you. You posted a thread about what seemed to be a problem(?) for you, so people took you seriously.

I feel you. I fall into routines and habits easily - get off work, load a bowl, watch TV, eat dinner, go to sleep. (Or some variation - you get the gist.) But when I am not doing anything but watching the sun set or meditating, marijuana brings a whole new, more subtle wavelength to my thoughts. You can actually hear yourself think about important, introspective things.

That being said, I really enjoy pushing my limits as far as experiences go. I have attended spelunking, hiking, to my dog's obedience school, the city aquarium, the cemetery, and all other kinds of cool/unusual places/situations stoned. It keeps things fresh and interesting.

Either that, or I will do something methodical and routine - like washing the dishes, and try and pay attention to every sensation involved with that task. I try to look at things like I have never seen them before in my life. It really lets you get a unique and new perspective on things.

Writing is another cool way to enjoy your high.

That's what I usually end up doing anyway, because for the first 15 minutes I'm too stoned to have a choice. I have to take a pause until my train of thought derails and I can switch gears into standing mode.

Take a nice break, get some dank bud, get real high and go for a walk outside. The weathers getting real nice around where i live, not even cold anymore. I really cant think of any better way to enjoy marijuana than to be outdoors smoking with my friends.
