Wow... well, I actually got home yesterday afternoon...ANYWAY....this trip was awesome...for the first 48 hours or so! Flights went fine, followed bart Simpson's "whitey-tighty" advice, and got an 1/8th through airport security just fine. Wife got stopped at security, because, they found a knife in her purse she had legitimately forgotten about! it was a cheapie, and simply discarded, and all was well(Aside from me referring to her as Achmed the Terrorist on occasion). Got to Vegas, checked into Imperial Palace, and immediately smoked a bowl on our balcony on the 17th floor. Our room was decent, had a tub in the sleeping area that could have easily fit 5-6 people, best of all, all four nights were free. Checked out the casino a bit, as well as the nearby one's (Flamingo, Ohseas, Ceasers) then the wax museum at the Venetian (cool as hell! You can pose for pics with the figures, and the haunted house area freaked the fuck outta my wife, amking her scream like a little girl!!) and finally, had the most awesome buffet EVER at the Bellagio. Tuesday was more of the same, checking out Ceaser's Palace, and eventually making our way to Planet Hollywood, where were were going to stay for one night. Checked in (we had a awesome room here as well....42 in flatscreen, and as luck would have it,we got a "Dusk til Dawn" themed room, including Cheech marion's characters outfit and gear, and decked out with movie artwork, complete with a view of the Bellagio fountains (partial) and the Eifel Tower immediately in front of our window...kinda trippy, LOL) gambled and wandered a bit, and decided to head down to MGM, and stop at the "Hawaiian Marketplace" someone had mentioned to me....found a couple booths selling pieces at the marketplace, but nothing caught my eye. Made our way through MGM, checked out the lions, and walked across to NY NY....in quired about tickets for the Cirque Solei show "Zumanity", and the wife decided she was going to treat us to the show. I'd recommend anyone who gets a chance to check out ANY of the Cirque shows after seeing it!!!! It was simply fucking amazing!!! "Zumanity" is their "erotic" themed show, so not only were there amazing performances, most involved topless chicks....SCORE!!! Then back to planet hollywood, and then....it started. I was suddenly overtaken by nausea, stomach cramping, vomiting, and the shits, along with muscle aches and chills/sweats, FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS!!!! FRom Wednesday morning at 3AM til Thursday morning about that same time, I couldn't leave the room. We had to stay at PH another night, because I Was completely and totally incapable of leaving the room, let along walking the LOOOOONG 1.5 blocks back to our other hotel. Thursday, things were really looking up....until about 3 PM or so, when my wife came down with a pretty severe case of bronchitis, and was herself bedridden for basically the remainder of our trip! It was a very unfortunate set of circumstances, but on the bright side, we had a lot of fun....at first anyway!!! I lost what I was willing to lose gambling, up at times, but never for long, eventually blowing all I cared to lose. I didn't go OVER my budget at all though, and wasn't flat broke once I got back home. It was....an experience, I'll say that. I don't recommend getting sick in LV though...not only is it a waste of vacation, but its hard to find peace and quiet in a place like LV, where the volume is always at 11!!!! All in all, I was glad we went, but even gladder to be home. I'm over Vegas for awhile, I think...time to start saving for a return to Jamaica, I think!!! (At least there, my "medication" is always easily accessible!!" LOL
