| So, its 7AM Sunday morning..... as amny of you know, I work the overnight shift, so I was on my way home. I was really looking foreward to vaping, as my night was long and boring. I was about 1/2 way home, probably closer, when I came to a stoplight. I stopped...and waited.....and waited....and waited....At this point, I'd been sitting 3-4 minutes probably, and there was NO traffic....but the light WOULD NOT CHANGE. I pondered just running it, but noticed a car approaching several blocks behind me. Knowing my luck, it'd be a cop, and I'd somehow wind up with a ticket for running this malfunctioning light....so I wait another couple minutes, and sure enough, the car behind me IS a cop. After another 30 seconds, I finally get out of my car, and walk back to the cruiser, asking the female officer if she had any clue what was up with this light. I told her I'd been there AT LEAST 5 minutes, and it hadn't showed any signs of changing. She went over to the corner and hit the crosswalk button a few times, and eventually, it changed after another minute or two. I was confused enough as it was, but that experience would have really had me confused (and scared) had I been high and had to deal with the cop and the weirdnes of the signal!!! For what its worth though, the officer was kinda cute!!

| I've had this happen, minus the cop thing.... A light just NEVER changing. It's so annoying, but I just go because usually it's the middle of the night and no one is around. I wonder why that happens?

| Ive had pretty much the same thing happen. Sitting at a light at 2 in the morn. Light refuses to change. Just as im about to go for it a cop pulls up next to me. I look at him he looks at me, we both look at the light. and that continues for 5 mins, until I roll down my window and ask can I go? He tells em to hold on, presses a button and the light changes. Did he really need me to sit there that long? I hate these situations sometimes those lights just never fuckin change.

| Sometimes whoever controls traffic lights just messes them up. For instance a light near me gives a green turn arrow one way. Problem is there is never anyone there, but the traffic lights always give that way a turn arrow. This was only recently made like this, and I have no idea why. It can't be because they actually studied the area because if they did they would know that there is no traffic that way. |

| it all depends where your at and what state your in. Sometimes light have sensors to know if a car is waiting, some have timers, some have motion cameras. Technology varies state to state. |

| It's a good thing you didn't decide to run it! Whenever there is a car behind me at night, I automatically assume it's a cop. I'm sure it's saved me from getting in trouble a lot

| I also always assume it's a cop. I've been screwed for stupid things like that before... never again. |

| Lights are usually on timers. As with any device, sometimes they malfunction.
