I have been smoking everyday a lot for about a year then suddenly got hyperhydrosis and noticed i was getting sweaty a lot. I went to my doctor, a good one lol. Anyway I told him i have been smoking pot for about a year a lot. My doctor said to stop because my body is trying hard to sweat all the toxins out. He said it will take 2 months at least before i notice change but then he said everyone is different. I guess I am taking a couple months off now, damn this sucks LOL.

has this happened to anyone else?

Or you could do a really good detox, and cleanse your body of toxins in two-three weeks instead of two months...that is if you don't think you need to take a two month long break.

she's right. Hit up a sauna and follow that with some herbal detox teas. There is a great store for this in KC, but if you aren't there try Bouncing Bear Botanicals online. I know tha owners and they are great, knowledgeable people that are trying their hardest to get americans off their pills and onto some natural products that do tha same with safer, organic ingredients.

Stopping soda intake and increasing water intake should help too.

You may want to get a second opinion. In just 10 minutes of searching I have found NUMEROUS accounts of people using MJ as a treatment for HH, but not a single report of MJ causing HH. It is very likely that your HH is not caused by your smoking, but by some other source.

I'm not saying cleaning out your system is bad (if nothing else, it will lower your tolerence immensely). I'm just pointing out that many conventional doctors do their best to demonize weed. Some old-school doctors are like Republicans in America at this point, willfully ignorant.

That is quite the inference... although you could very well be right.
I always like to give doctor's the benefit of the doubt saying they know their shit... but when it comes to marijuana - it could be another story.

My diet is great. I never did think of a detox in 2 -3 weeks, I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks guys!

Yeah no scientific evidence that MJ causes this. I was born with it. Long before I ever started toking. Seems to be caused by the hypothalamus gland in the brain. It can be pretty embarrassing for us that have it. I would have a blood test to just make sure your kindneys and liver are functioning fine, if they're ok I wouldn't worry about it except to maybe get another doctors opinion of what might be causing it.

Do you engage in the use of other off-topic drugs/narcotics? I feel that's another question that could be asked, considering multiple off-topics can cause you to sweat more.

Better yet, if you don't use any other off-topics, do you drink alcohol?

Definitely get a second opinion on this, dude. I'm not calling your doctor a quack, and I understand that each person reacts differently to marijuana, but the overall effects are pretty much the same for all smokers, and I would definitely consider the fact that your doctor would probably tell you to steer clear of "drugs" anyways, since their goal is to keep you healthy.

Best of luck to you, hopefully you don't have to be one of those people that carry around a spare shirt like in that Gillette commercial.
