you should have a conversation about it to her, see how she feels, and he also can see your views. It's best to just talk about it to your parents they will have more respect for you.........Unless there dicks that absolutley hate pot and will send you to rehab for it. But otherwise you should just have a conversation about it. I wouldent do it that much, and remember family always comes first, I had to learn that. How old are you? Have you just begun high school? Are you out of school? WE would like to know more about this so we can help you.

I would be up front and be like "Hey mom I'm smoking" I would do it your way though and try to convince her to let up and that it's not going to be a problem to socially do it once in awhile.

If she is anti drug show her some facts about smoking. tell her you want to have a civilized conversation with her not a yelling match, thats what i said to my mom when she caught me and thats exactly what happened, no yelling.

It's funny, my mom thinks I smoke all the time when in reality I've only smoked several times. It's funny to see her get suspicious.

In you're situation, well, I have no clue. Depending on how anti-marijuana (or if she is at all) she is, then you may have to handle the situation in a number of different ways.

im 16 going to turn 17 in april my brother got into a fight with my mom about smoking and my brother called her out about it, she yelled "i did it once and hated it!" and ran off crying. i dont think she would be at all open to it she can be a big bitch sometimes my dad on the other hand caught my brother and just said your 18 you do what you want it your decison i dont think he will be that easy on me.

I tried to tell my mom about the lack of dangers involved with marijuana use, and show her how i had educated myself. She took the information at first, but then i hit a rough spot in school and some grades went down. I attempted to explain the situation more, but she assumed marijuana was making me lazy, that i was addicted, it was killing brain cells, it would hinder the development of my brain, etc. She didn't take the time to notice the masses of homework i was beating myself up over. She even took me to the doctor, who told me marijuana was an extremely physically addictive drug, and restated some of what my mom said. Of course i couldn't argue with her even when i knew what she was saying was not true. I tried to give my side, and since im 15, she pulled the "you're just a kid, i have a phd" card. It makes me angry how often we are lied to, and that no one will take me seriously.
Here's the kicker: both my mom and my step dad smoke regularly.
I have continued to smoke, even though it is disrespectful.

i think you should talk to your mom. just get it out in the open, you'll feel much better. maybe cut down for awhile, or work out something where you can smoke, just not in the house. that's what i did with my mom (mostly because she's on probation & can't have it in the house).

i would just have a talk.
