New Computer, Yeyyy!

Finally got this damn computer set up. A while back my dad brought his old work computer home since they got new ones and I've been wanting it up in my room for a while. It used to have Windows 2000 on it and last night/this morning we finally formatted it and put XP on it. Now it's up in my room, all hooked up and everything.

Only downside...

There's a lot of shit I still have to install - and its gonna take forever to find everything I need, lol.

But I'm happy nonetheless.

Congrats on getting the computer, I actually like old computers and if I weren't space-limited I'd likely have a bunch of old ones to play around with. I used to have one I got for $10 from a yard sale and it started up with a key! haha, I actually felt as if I were starting a car by the sounds it made.

For programs to install, (if you don't already have one) I'd recommend a virus protection software called ESET NOD32, it's very light-weight (great for old PCs) and very efficient in catching shit... so maybe look into that.

I hear Opera is a better web browser for lower performance computers whereas Firefox (which I love) tends to take up a fair share of memory.
