I've been reading some of the stories where certain people have been caught by the cops, but most of the stories represent the rules of the states. However i live in Mississauga Ontario just 20mins from Toronto and i'd like to share the stories i have about my busts here in Canada.

WARNING: sorry about the long post, I was baked and got into as much detail while still leaving much out. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this! Probably riddled with spelling mistakes though. (I changed the names of my friends “justincase”)

All of this happened in the time frame of 2 years and i have left out the experiences with security cops(Just the Po). I believe i have been very lucky although i'd like to have dealt with them much less

1. My first time i was caught was on a friday after school. We were sitting on some stands that outlined a baseball diamond when we finished up a 2 pap. My friend Chris decided to start busting some more weed in some paper before we left. My friend Kevin said to chill because there was a guy coming but it was kind of ignored. I looked at where my friend was pointing and saw a guy with a buttoned shirt untucked and dress pants. I thought it was just another weird guy walking around the park as ive seen many weird characters in my community. Turned out i was very wrong.
I told my friend to hide the paper as the guy came from behind the stands where some trees blocked a clear view. The guy was a real dick and he pulled out his badge from his shirt laughed in our faces and told us we were under arrest. At this point his partner had came up from the other side and had us surronded. Our group is not one to cause trouble and damage property or whatever and we agreed to their proposal of going easy on us if we just gave them all our weed.
they were playing good cop bad cop. the bad cop was the guy that told us we were arrested and he laughed at us as he started interviewing us individually. At this point i was really shook and hated every minute of what was going on. I had just bought a 20 sack(in 2 dime bags) that day and i had like a .4 in another dime bag. My friends all had a few grams as well as my friend josh who had kept his half oz in a big ziploc bag and had 4 grams left but the bag had them pissed off. I had to empty my contents out in my hat so i decided(for some reason) to only ut 1 dime bag in my hat. I then decided to put the other one in as they were searching us and my weed was in my pocket. He caught me reaching into my pocket and he looked into my hat. He said that there was only 1 bag before and now there was two but my friend Josh backed me up and told me there was always 2. He started to search me next and I still had a dime bag in my right pocket. He padded me down and then reached down my left pocket and felt around. I was panicking as he told me to turn around for the other pocket. I was relieved as I turned and he just patted my right ocket unaware of the weed. So after taking down my information and giving them a fake story about who I bought it off I sat back down on the bench where everyone else was. My hat was on the bench beside me with all my stuff in it. They got together and decided to confront us again about the stories we told. They called me over again and I left my hat on the bench. They told me to describe the guy again and after mentioning he was a “White” guy, they quickly asked” I thought you said he was black!” and I responded with a “uhhh no, I told you he was white with a beard”. He then proceeded to drag me into his van removing his kids diapers out of the way so I could sit down. He told me of all the money they spent on seeing if someone was lying and at this point I thought I was going to HQ. So as a last act I made myself really believe my story and I got serious with the guy. After telling him off he surprisingly let me out of the car and returned to my friends and his partner. They grabbed the collective weed and started to rub the weed into the dirt. They told us we could go and that we don’t have to say we’ve been in trouble with the cops. We were all relieved and the best part was the fact that after they left, my hat was still sitting on the bench with 3 dime bags and all my other shit in it. They drove off as we laughed about the celebration spliff we were about to roll up. (that nite, I had my first tulip!)

2. The second time we were caught was a seriously stupid idea. Since almost the whole grade smokes weed there’s tons of spots people have scouted out. One of those groups told us about an abandoned party bus that was broken into. We had blazed there about 6 or 7 times before as the inside has a zebra patterned roof and couches instead of seats. This night I had picked up my 3 of my friends and we headed for the spot to blaze a king size 2 pap and a smaller 2 pap my friend rolled up earlier. As we opened the back door of thebus and everyone started to pile in I hear “Oh Shit! Cop!”. My heart instantly starts pumping as we run out of the bus. We head for my car and I throw the spliff on the ground in a pile of snow. We all got in my car but the cop had pulled up behind me and my friend was already talking to him. He motioned for us to come outside. My half quarter was sitting in my cars front department as well ass my 4 level grinder and papers. I didn’t have time to crotch anything and stepped out. He asked us if we had anything and we all gave up our shit. He asked me I f I had anything “on” me and I said no.(it technically wasn’t on me) He searched me and then searched my friends. I hadn’t locked my car but he decided to open the door and instantly looked in my car’s front department. He found my wallet, weed, and grinder and said that they were obviously mine because they were with my wallet and I said yes. He brought us to the front of the party bus and lined us up as he called for backup. Four undercovers rolled up and one regular cop. They took our info and searched for previous records. He collected our weed and paraphenilia and put it in his car. Another cop that was there took me over to my car again and he searched the car again(didn’t open the trunk). We had given up about a half oz collectively. The cop told me to drive my car over to the bus where everyone else was. The cops were all laughing and shaking as it was winter time and was really cold. We were defiantly worried about the possible trespassing charges and we knew that the people who originally broke the window in took the speakers and tvs. We told them the full story about our friends telling us it was a good spot to smoke and told them we dindt break in though. They searched the bus and believed us when they found snow in the bus because of the snow we had gotten earlier that afternoon. The cop told me to wait in the car and keep warm and one by one my friends joined me in the car. The orignal officer that caught us came up to my window and told me to follow his car. I followed his car to the nearest sewer drain and he handed us our papers, grinders, and weed and told us to put the bag in the drain. We did and we thanked him and told him to have a good night. He left us and headed back to the bus they were still searching. We were so thankful and glad that we once again were nice to them and they let us off scot free. He even told us again that we didn’t have to tell anyone that we had gotten in trouble with them. The next day I went to Canadain Tire and got fishing hooks and string and proceeded to fish out a half quarter of bud in a Ziploc bag.

3. Our third encounter was at school
I believe that my highschool has set some records for best school to be a stoner. We have a door that leads down a long set of stairs to a bridge underpass. This is what I’ve called home since grade 11. At our lunch time when everyone is outside we have HUGE numbers of people smoking spliffs and cigarettes. To try to explain this, imagine going out for lunch in summertime and going underneath a bridge. In the summertime we sit just on the other side of the underpass where the grass is. We “literally” have at LEAST 30-40 people sitting on the grass in our school uniforms smoking weed and cigs. Our school has grown to label the spot “The Bridge”. Every time our principal would have a talk about setting an example for the grade 9’s he would mention the bridge. Just last year they put an alarm on the door that made a sound every time the door is opened. We continued to use the doors and just ran out them as the sound would bring teachers out of their classes. We figured out how to turn it off by just keeping the door open all the time as they just turned it off because of the constant noise it made. They finally took it off and decided to lock the doors from the inside, so we used to put pieces of cardboard in the door but now the doors don’t fully lock unless its pulled hard closed. We have beat them in their attempts to stop our break times. Most of the people smoke cigarettes under there so there not just going to stop people from having their much needed smokes. ANYWAYS we’ve had the cops called on us hundreds of times by our principals. Just last year, the cops would come down every day and try to search anyone that was smoking weed. We would mostly just wave and wish them a good day when they came by and saw 30 people smoking cigarettes. Our biggest dealer in our school was actually arrested in front of all of us before school in the morning. He was less than a week away from graduating and going to the states for a scholarship. He was the smartest dealer that ALWAYS had weed to chop and didn’t smoke it regularly to keep a sober head while chopping. He had saved more than $8,000 that he had kept for paying his post secondary debts. It was all very scary at first but he’s now in the US learning something☺.
My friend had borrowed my pipe and I was having a smoke with 2 of my friends. My friend blurted “cop” as soon as he saw the neon stripes on the officers pants. They always snuck up from the corners of the bridge so we always know what to look out for. I started going up the bridge stairs and the cop called us back. I had a bag of weed but put it in my belt before heading back down. My friend had thrown my pipe in the snow and he and my other friend gave up their .5’s to the cop when asked. I told them I had absolutely nothing as well as my other friend and they took our info and searched us. They let us go and told us to go to class.

4. The fourth encounter happened about 3 weeks ago.
My friend kevin and richard rolled up a supersized spliff and I drove to one of our spots(just the side of a plaza where we had been smoking for about a year with seeing any cops). We just finished blazing when a cop screeched in front of us. My friend had bought a gram and just pitched at least a .5 on our sesh. I had about 2 and a half grams on me in my left pocket. As the cop exited his car to the right of me I crotched my weed. He came up to us and asked us for any weed we had. My friend had the weed in his cigarette pack and had no choice but to give it up. He put my friend in handcuffs and told him that it was because there were 3 of us and 1 of him. He called for 2 more cop cars and the guy searched me. He didn’t find my weed but put my friend in the back of his cop car. My other friend had pitched the rest of his weed on the spliff so he had nothing on him. They asked us if we were ever in trouble before and I told him no. He tried to get me to tell him that my friends weed was mine as well but I told him no. He told me to sit on the curb cross legged. After about 5 minutes the original cop called me to another cop car. There were 3 cops looking at their computer screen and the original cop said “Remember when I asked if you ever talked to the cops before? Have you ever been in trouble before?” This ws unexpected and I just quickly said no. He asked me if I was sure and I was about to change my mind but remembered they get pissed if they found out you lied to them. I denied it a second time and he said “So you’re telling us we made a mistake?” I could tell I was getting this guy mad again(my friend told him it was kinda degrading getting arrested on the hood of his car, so he put him in the back and asked us if he was always that “lippy”). I told him I guess he had made a mistake and after a slight pause he called my other friend up and told us we could have been arrested tonite and then he told us to leave after asking us if he would find anything in the car if he chaecked. I backed out trying not to hit one of the cop cars that were just parked in the middle of the small lot. My friend was under 18 so they took him home in cuffs and told his parents they found a few grams on him. My friend and I decided to get some Wendy’s and headed home shook up once again.

Those are all of my encounters with the cops so far and most of them have been really nice. I was lucky I got the nice cops when I actually had weed to be found. April 9th ill be turning 18 and it makes me a bit nervous.

Wow those are some crazy stories, you are one lucky and unlucky SOB at the same time, haha. Sounds like you should pick more secluded spots to blaze up or just go on burn runs, 3 encounters (minus the school one) like that before your 18 and eventually your bound to get arrested. Oh well, hasn't happened yet so good luck and happy smokin, haha.

Interesting stories. I'm surprised that after being caught this many times and given so many breaks, that you could continue to be so careless with your smoking.

Smoking in public is basically asking to be caught, in my opinion. Then again, with your age, I suppose you probably can't smoke inside, and I don't know what sort of safe options you have for smoking outside (being in a relatively dense urban area).

Either way, I hope you learn your lessons from all this stuff and try to find more careful ways to toke

Yeah, the reasons we smoke outside is because of the disadvantage of not having a house to smoke in. Since our group blazes a few times EVERY single day, one can see the obvious danger in getting caught. Its not so much being careless as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The day after being caught warrants the crotch your weed when we blaze but over time it becomes unnecessary. We have been pretty smart about blazing outside except for the few times an amazing spot has to be visited. Its not a smart risk but thats what kind of makes it fun.
My silver surfer is on the way, so i will soon be able to blaze in peace.
Turning 18 will add some paranoia and hopefully keep me on my toes.
