i have a new glass bowl that was a pain in the ass to get so im taking good care of this thing. i want to cleanit out, but i really dont want to break it. i hear boiling it in water works? but that sounds like it would bust it or something. so...help?

Rubbing Alcohol and salt in a ziploc bag for 15-20 minutes. Gets rid of all the resin.

If you're that cautious just soak it in iso alcohol and shake salt around in the bowl and use a q tip

Yupp, rub 91 percent rubbing alcohol inside of it and in the bowl, use some salt as an abrasive, shake it all around covering the openings and rinse thoroughly with water and your good to go!

lol your methods are sooo outdated.

Get some boiling water, get some vanish in powder form, pour boiling water into the bong/bowl, add some vanish, mix up a bit, leave for a minute or two.

When lots of foam starts to appear, get some tissue or something and clean it out (the parts you can reach), the rest, just rinse.

If theres still some dirt/resin left, repeat the same steps.

For the bowl itself, just use a bigger bowl to place it in, works just as well, and fast (it took me 4 minutes to clean out a very dirty bong+bowl that way)

I use 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, paper towels, and Q-Tips. For things that can't be reached by towels or swabs, I use dishwasher detergent and boiling water.

I find using Iso (like pretty much everybody else has said) works the best if you let it soak for a while, as well buy a bag of those arts & crafts pipe cleaners. They're great because they're fuzzy all the way down, unlike a cotton swab, they can bend into hard to reach places as well the fuzzys don't come off. I know I've tried to clean one of my hand pipes that has an elbow that is really hard to clean and I've gotten cotton from q-tips stuck in the small spot numerous times and it's quite the task to fish it out.
