| So i am an avid pot smoker, i've smoked every day for the past 5 years. Everything was great up until about 2 months ago when i had the misfortune of doing a not so good white powder. Anyways, at the end of that night i smoked a joint with my buddy, went home had a horrible anxiety attack(which never happens after i smoke), and ever since then everytime i smoke weed i get a very uncomfortable feeling. I still smoke everyday but it just doesn't feel the same, what do i do? |

| I'd say lay off the pot for a little while... if you're always getting high then your brain/mind doesn't have time to filter out or "dilute" this bad experience... but if you stay sober for a few days, or it may take a week or more, then perhaps you'll have had enough time not experiencing this deja vu feeling so that when you smoke up again it'll be like old times. Basically, your constantly being reminded of this bad experience because you smoke so often, so if you lay off it for awhile then perhaps the magnitude of the effect will be decreased, or completely diminished. ![]() You could also just not smoke pot again... but we all know that won't happen ![]() Good luck either way PS- Welcome to the boards

| Actually, I feel the same way. Getting high isn't as fun as it used to be because I am smoking too much recently and can't really get rid of a groggy overall feeling to concentrate on how nice it is to be high. Good idea, mj man. |

| It might be a good idea to take a short break, and try keeping your mind off that night, constantly thinking about it while smoking doesn't help the situation.

| Well timsway, If your feeling like you've done something horrible to yourself, or lowered your standerds to a new chemical that gave you a horrible experance. Dont feel bad! Its okay to be curious and try things that the you and your body dont agree with! You havent injuryed yourself in anyways and your going to be just fine. What Im trying to get at is, I think your having a selfesteam problem, and smoking pot is whats reminding you of this incident. Put it past yourself with no regrets. Mark it as an one time experamental thing and be proud of yourself! Tons of people get addicted loose houses, familys, and other things, wasting every penny they get into powder, and you my freind hate it. So youll never have a problem like that. If you think quitting for a short term will help than due it up! But idk if that is the answer your looking for. I think the people that post hear are smart and experance people so they know what there talking about. |

| Yeah, I'd say just lay off of it for a little while. Then when you start back up just think about how awesome getting high truly is and how you used to love toking up. Good luck. |
