| Alright, so It's an average day aside from it being trash day. I go outside of my apartment to gather my two trashcans from the sidewalk to bring them back behind the building, then I begin cleaning up a bit of dog presents that my bro probably missed when taking the dog out. No big deal. I run back inside to get a trash bag, pick it up and toss it away in the compost. I come back around and I see my neighbor standing there. "Yo!" He shouts at the top of his lungs when I'm standing right next to him. The elderly gentlemen waves a letter in the air and hands it to me when I approach. I see it was a letter that was mixed up in his mail. I take it and thank him for giving it to me. So as I'm about to enter my apartment door, which is right next to his, he remains standing and 'politely' yells to me. "Dirtball!" Now, I nearly laughed, but keeping my composure, I slowly turn from my doorway and just looked at him. Did he seriously just call me that? Now I'm not the most mainstream kind of guy. I have long hair, a beard and wear a lot of 'metal' clothes. Maybe that's why I'm a 'dirtball'? But I just kept looking at him for a few seconds. His once proud face quickly changed to a more alarmed one and he ran inside faster than I've seen any old person run. So...what the hell? Why are old people so damn asinine? Obviously, not all of them are. But the question of WTF? still remains. My family may have taken a root in this country but we hold up a lot of our Scandinavian expectations. A big thing, no matter what you say to me, you don't turn your back on me. Of course I know that a lot of elderly folk are angry with the way they spent their lives, expect too much just because of their age and such...but damn is it annoying. Anyone have any similar tales?
