Anyone know a store where i can buy a cheap scale at that gets the job done?

umm... the post office A lot of the main USPS branches have those oh-so-handy pocket scales for sale inside the lobby (usually near the front of the line of people shipping stuff). They're less than five bucks and pretty darn accurate for a little hand scale. ya'll owe me a fattie.

You don't want a food scale and you don't want a postal scale. They're both designed for weighing fairly large amounts and don't come close to being able to weigh a gram. Postal scales are accurate to the nearest half-ounce.

You want digital scales that will be accurate to .1 or .01 grams. You can get them pretty cheap on eBay. If you want to buy one locally, you'd have to go to a head shop or a place that sells things to make jewelry, like a bead store. They probably won't be as cheap as eBay.

Hey guys...sorry to dig this back up...but I figured it would be better than starting a new thread. Just a quick question...when buying off of ebay, what should I expect to be paying? At what level would I be paying too much? At what level would I be paying too little to get a good scale?

20 dollars for a drivers license sized scale
35-40 dollars for double that size.
