So i have this friend, we used to hang out almost every day and then he gets a girlfriend and weve hung out maybe 3 times in the 4 months they have been going out. Today me and my friends are playing basketball in his neighborhood and we all start talking about how fake he is, and someone said and I quote, "maybe he just needs a good ass whuppin."

We walked to his house knock on his door to play football, and when he comes outside we kicked his ass on his front lawn (his parents werent home). Now we weren't trying to hurt him too bad so we didnt hit him in the face, but one of our chubbier friends tackled him and the rest of us punched/kicked him (not hard). After we stopped he got up and told us we were jerks and i told him he was crazy if he thought he didnt have that coming; he walked inside his house, broke up with his girlfriend through the phone, and we ended up really playing football.

We already have plans to hangout tomorrow, I love life.

Still a dick thing to do, shoulda just talked to him. Obviously, completely different if it was messing around play fighting, but the way you described it seemed to me as someone tackled him to the ground, then everyone else took a hit at him. Pretty low.,

If it happened to me, I wouldn't break up with my gf over it, and i'd go freaking apeshit haha. But then again, my mates wouldn't do that to me.

Yea...him playing football with you guys after you beat him up just shows what a good sport he is...doesn't really make the act of going to his house and kicking his ass less if a dickhead move at all. You did it because he got a girlfriend and started paying attention to her and you guys didn't hang out as much anymore?
It doesn't sound like you're really a good friend. But who knows, you could have just over-exaggerated thinking the story would go over differently and you guys didn't really beat him up.
