What the hell! I was a a buds house and we were all chillin listening to some misfits when i was rolling a joint. All the sudden i get ready to lick it and i hear STOP! I looked over thinking it was a cop and it was just some noob smoker saying "dont lick the joint thats nasty use water or somthing" What the hell just happend! I guess i just dont get it.

wait.. you were just licking the seal or were you putting the entire joint in your mouth? I agree that the latter is pretty gross (and usually completely unnecessary) but you've gotta use saliva to moisten the seal. Don't worry about the noob.

With joints I don't usually have to lick to much, because they have the sticky strip. I just dab my tounge against the strip. But with blunts is a different story, sometimes I have to make out with them.

Don't worry about that kid though.. Seems like he's a bit new to the scene.

If he's really that irritated by it run a flame up and down the joint quickly to dry up any saliva, I do think thats unnecessary though.
