So I finally had to tell my parents I enjoy cannabis. I was speeding on the highway and I was pulled over. The cop pulls up and tells me to get out with my hands up. I had stashed my oz of dro in a false mountain dew can and put my pipe in my sunglass case.

He then asks if he can search my car, I replied with a simple no and asked him why he wanted to perform a search. He then tells me that he has probable cause because I took too long to pull over. He sits me down on the curb and performs the search. He opens up the lunchbox that I put my false mountain dew can in with some real mountain dew cans to disguise it with. He puts it down and opens the sunglass case. He finds Steve, my favorite pipe, and promptly puts me in handcuffs. I am given a ticket for speeding and drug paraphernalia and I am on my way home.

Because I am 16 i have to appear in court with my parents for any citation I receive, so I decided to lie at first and deny that the pipe was mine. They bought the story, but later on I heard my dad talking to my mom about hiring an attorney for about $2000 to fight the paraphernalia ticket. After I heard that I felt awful. I sat my dad down and told him the pipe was mine. He stares at me and I am ready for the argument of my life. He looks at me and asks "why a pipe?, at least you can hide a joint or eat it.". I literally sat there in disbelief. He proceeds to tell me that he still enjoys smoking hydroponic marijuana and that he loved smoking when he was young. He taught me his tricks about stashing in police situations, and told me he would rather me smoke than drink because it is not as harmful to the body. I am still in utter shock he told me that. I heard so many crazy stoner stories from him (some from a couple months ago), we talked until 2 in the morning and our relationship with each other has gotten so much better in the past few days.

Mom on the other hand told me to be careful with it lol .

Thats just awesome. To fess up and find out ur dad is okay with it and does it. i would love that. smoke a bowl with your dad and enjoy it

It's unfortunate that you got busted. How fast were you going and how long did it take you to pull over?

Fortunately for you, your parents didn't completely flip their lid. While you did take precautions to keep yourself in the clear, the ball just wasn't in your field. Hopefully you don't have any more unfortunate run ins with the law, and if you do... I would hope that you remember your fathers lesson haha. What a rare and curious outcome

100+ in my Subaru WRX. I'm a dumbass I know. Also took me awhile to pull over because I was stashing my weed. The ball was on the edge of my property line, but I didn't have time to crotch the pipe. I would be in jail for having that much weed, but my false mountain dew can saved my life and I was surprised the state trooper didn't open it.

Also I will smoke with my dad, but only when I know it won't be awkward.

Never break more than one law at a time ....it's good advice if you don't want to get busted for possession

You sound like my dad lol. But last night after I posted this he came in from the garage completely blazed. Like laughing at everything. This is a 50 year old man with kids and his own company. I have found another reason to love him .

My aunt told me that my dad was smoking some at a wedding a few years ago but i think he would flip out if he found out i smoked. he's fine with me drinking for some reason but the thought of smoking something would probably make him really pissed off.

that's great that your dad is accepting about it. makes the tough situations alot easier in the end. glad to hear that you & your pa talked about it.
