OK, i been hangin with this kid for maybe 2 months now and he just got strep throat. now he wants to smoke, will i get strep if i smoke with him, or will it not affect me?

No, don't share with him because the bacteria from the strep throat is on his mouth and it will get on whatever you're sucking. I heard somewhere that weed helps kill strep throat bacteria, not sure if that's true though.

meant to quote and accidentally thanked, but anyway...NO weed does not kill bacteria, please don't spread that one. Weed is a vasodilater (widens the blood vessels) and analgesic(pain killer) that is usually safer than the synthetic alternative in the long term . It has various uses, but is NOT something you use to treat infection or viral and bacterial disease, but rather to treat the symptoms of diseases. Weed does not cure everything as a lot of people seem to think.

OP, that is wise to just roll two and let the friend have one, smoking a joint with someone is the same as drinking from the same glass as someone as far as disease spreading goes. I wouldn't drink from the same glass as someone with strep. honestly I would even sit close to em, and avoid touching them. Strep sucks

If you roll a joint/blunt, make sure he washes his hands thoroughly, and that he put the joint in between his fingers, but not have his actual mouth touch the joint, then it should be okay. i have smoked with friends while i was sick this way and no one caught my sickness.

Just roll separate J's or maybe two blunts, I say. Using the same smoking apparatus can give you strept too.

Yea not to mention strep is extremely contagious lol.

Anyone ever get strep on their uvula (thing that hangs inside your mouth). One time I had it only attack that and not my throat and it made it so swollen the I kept swallowing it.

i would advise you NOT to smoke with him. strep throat is most definitely contagious & if you share a pipe/bong/bubbler/etc with him, you're increasing your chances of getting it as well. stay away for a few days until he gets better. strep throat sucks so much ass.
