I wasn't referring to the origins of slavery. In fact, slavery has been around since the dawn of civilization. I was specifically referring to the American slavery period and cotton plantations.
The current state of Africa, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa as that is the impoverished part of Africa, is the fault of colonial powers, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and corrupt government. Three of those four mentioned are/were dominated by white males, two of the four mentioned are dominated by American White males.
