i went to school high a couple of times, and i recommend it every once in a while. there is a logic to it though, don't do too much, you don't want your eyes to be all bloodshot or anything, i'd say one bowl is definitely the max. as far as impact on grades, i was a very good student, and it doesn't affect you academically if you only do it once in a while, make sure you take notes in class if you're super worried, plus what you wrote down will be funny as hell later. its a good idea to tell people that you feel slightly sick *before* they notice anything. DO NOT tell anyone that you're high, word getting around isn't a good thing. i always told people that i'd been up really late the night before, and they never even questioned a thing

I never had a problem when I was just buzzed. But once you get baked it's almost impossible to pay attention(at lease for me), you just sit back there in your own little world with no fucking idea as to what is actually going on.

For what it’s worth, I’ve smoked pot for nearly 30 years and I can say that to smoke pot before anything that requires really clear thought, verbal interaction and memorization is just asking for problems.

From an education/grades standpoint pot really will affect your ability to do the best you can. Yes, most likely you could pass and maybe get decent grades but if you are serious about high level classes then don’t smoke before class. You wouldn’t down a couple of beers before class would you? So, why smoke pot before class?

From a legal standpoint you are facing potential problems that you just don’t need. There are too many things to be careful of; red eyes, breath, smell on clothing, eye dilation and potentially slurred speech. This is just a short list; remember we are using a mind-altering drug. If your teacher catches on to any of these things would be disastrous to say the least. I live in California and have two kids in High School. The policy here is immediate and permanent suspension. You would need to go to another school district after the police, probation and heath care were done with you.

Admittedly, pot is a mild drug but a drug none the less. Why do we take this drug (?), to alter our reality. When we are high, our sense of reality is changed; people around us that aren’t high don’t get it. To get high and then go into an environment where nobody else is high is to invite problems. We are all fighting to abolish the prohibition on drugs but an important aspect to fight this battle is to be responsible in consumption. We all use the phrase “Recreational Drug” and this phrase has a specific meaning. This would be to use the drug in a recreational manor. School isn’t recreation; for those that want the most from the educational system, school is mostly hard work.

I say try it for your self, do it on an unimportant day, such as right after a big test.......if your grade suffer it won't be the weed, but your own fault.

It all depends on your attitude. And it sounds like you've got a great attitude (i.e. you want to succeed academically and smoke pot too).

In high school I wasn't motivated academically at all. So when I went to school stoned (which was usually every day) I didn't learn a thing. I never did homework or studied for tests, and my grades were rock bottom. I barely graduated from high school because of it. I just wanted to get high.

But believe it or not, I went to college (the University of Wisconsin will take anybody! ) and did very well. I graduated with honors. And yes, I frequently got high before class. But I was motivated in college, and wanted to succeed. Smoking pot didn't get in the way of my studies. In fact, they enhanced them. When I was straight I usually got bored easily. But I was never bored when stoned ... even those hour+ long lectures weren't bad! I was also more prone to participate in class discussions when stoned. I'm kind of a quiet guy and never liked talking in front of a group of people. But all that disappeared when I was high.

So, to answer your question: it's all about attitude. If you like school and want to do well, pot won't get in the way. Heck, you may find it actually enhances the experience like I did. Give it a try and see for yourself.

4 real don't get high at school. If you get caught you'll get kicked out and that will be on your record so all your schools or colleges will see it and it will ruin your future. Plus, you'll give a bad name to pot smokers, like we don't care about anything but are just high all the time. There's a time and place for everything, and when it comes to weed school is not that place.

I went to school high before all i gotta say is I was sooo paranoid. Jesus i was always looking behind me to see if they were looking at me. And a teacher in english class wanted me to read like 3 pages out of this novel im like i cant do that and got in trouble. The teachers sound like Charlie Browns teachers. I like the fact you could grab the ass of this chick ya science class and not care that you did. So goto skool high and see if u like it or not. I mean why do they call it "HIGH" School
