Pot suspect arrested in Hall of Justice


A 40-year-old Lincoln man was cited last week on suspicion of possession of marijuana. Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies say he walked into the Lincoln-Lancaster County Hall of Justice -- home to county and district courts as well as the Lincoln Police Department and Sheriff's Office -- carrying a bag of marijuana that was visible to deputies. He was caught by one of the deputies who monitor the entrances to the building. Sheriff Terry Wagner said Dennis Allen, 5310 Knox, was taken to Cornhusker Place Inc., the area's detoxification center. It was unclear why Allen was coming to the courthouse.

I saw this in the police blotter of the Journalstar, Lincoln, NE newspaper. What was this guy doing???

there were articles about two different guys who went to court and their sacks feel out while they were in court on another charge.
How stupid do you have to be.One of them tried to put his foot on it and act like he was all good.The sheriff and the judge saw him.

It's better getting sentenced to time in jail when your good and high and can laugh about it.

That is especially stupid to do now. After Sept 11th, court security is extremely tight. I know the court here searches everything, even looks through your briefcase and looks in pockets.
