| I was just wondering what the rest of you guys think of non-tokers, or people who are actively against marijuana? I ask for two reasons: firstly I know some people who are totally intolerant of anyone who doesn't approve of smoking the good stuff, and even of stoners who say that it should be used responsibly. Personally I think it's much better to debate the thing reasonably, rather than telling people to go to hell... ...Secondly, I was really impressed on a recent visit to Amsterdam with the way the Dutch handle this... the idea seems to be that you can smoke as much grass as you like, provided that you don't annoy anyone else by doing so. So for example, if you light up a joint in the middle of Dam Square, you're as likely to get dirty looks from *other stoners* just as much as you are from anyone else. The effect of this attitude seems to be that everyone seems to have respect for everyone else, and everything's peachy ![]() What do the rest of you think? Lawnmower |

They've bought into the whole reefer madness mentality (or have been brainwashed). I mean how many times have you decided to oppose something - then do a little research only to find your on the wrong side? I know I've done it a couple times. Amsterdam sounds sooo cool. I hope I get to visit one day... (off into daydreaming). Peace. |

| I am very tolerant of "non-tokers", and it doesn't bother me that they don't like marijuana. I have several non-toker friends, and I don't ever try to pressure them into using it because it's their own choice. On the other hand... a few of them really bug me and tell me that _I_ shouldn't toke up, and say it's really bad for me, they will never do it, and blah-blah-blah. I wish that some "non-tokers" would respect my decision, because smoking marijuana is a choice that I made for myself. I respect their choice, but I get little respect from "non-tokers" for my choice. |

| i have a problem with unresponsible tokers they are the reason that MJ is not legal and probably will not be for a long time if youre going to smoke weed do it in private and away from everyone that will have a problem with you getting high and dont go around bragging about the fact that you smoke weed its people like you that we can do without you give us a bad name and your the reason that this country thinks so negativly of us because your the only ones they hear about and when they do its usually because you did something stupid on your behalf and it gets blamed on our comunity and most of all it gets blamed on weed so please have enough maturity, responsibility, and desency to keep it to yourselves | |

| For the nonconfrontational: Treat smoking up as if you were a 70's era swinger, and only do it with other swingers, don't even talk about it with other people except using code words to see if they're hip. For those of you like me : Treat nonsmokers like un- or misseducated children and either ignore them or teach them. If they won't be ignored or taught, spank 'em. | |

| >>i have a problem with unresponsible tokers they are the reason that MJ is not legal and probably will not be for a long time "MJ" is illegal because our government is controlled by the tobacco companies and other special interests. it has nothing to do with how people are IRRESPONSIBLE when they smoke weed. look how irresponsible people get when they get drunk, isnt it something like 100,000 people a year die from drunk driving accidents? and cigarettes are cancer in a box. all logical thinking points to marijuana being the one that is legal, and the other two illegal. | |

| yes that is true but since MJ is not legal the government uses the f**k ups of unresponsible tokers to keep it from ever being legal and another reason tobacco and alchohol is legal is because it is better to tax it and make money than have bootleggers illegally sell it and have to spend money to stop them since there is alot higher percentage of people that smoke and drink than people that toke up. remember the 30's when they did prohibit alchohol thats proof that the government wants to prohibit alchohol as well but they had to unprohibit it because everyone pretty much ignored the new law and just got it from bootleggers and organized crime ran wild the government just does not want this to happen again that is why alchohol is legal. and ill bet money that if MJ is ever made legal it will be because it has got to the point were the government cant stop it or even slow it down then they will surrender and legalize it to make money instead of lose it just like they did with alchohol in the 30's | |
