there is one store that sells bongs, but keeps em in a back room and only shows it if someone asks. the only time ive bought there i was with a 19 yr old but the clerk let me and my other friend (both 15 at the time) go back with him and we were all lookin at them and talking to the clerk anbout which ones were good, we picked out pipes and he bought them, but three of my friends went ther (16) and got a bunch of stuff too, so if noone else is in there they dont card. there is also a very big flea market near me that has a much bigger selection of almost any smoking accesory in like four booths, and they wont say anything if noone is around.

the head shop where i live is really laid back. they won't sell to minors, but they'll be like 'if you can get someone that's 18 in here to buy it for you then i'll sell it to them'. it's pretty cool....i recently got one of my friend's co-workers (hes like 21) to buy me a vaporizer. the clerk like discussed with us how it worked and everything, and how the high is different. it was pretty dope.

damn, that sucks i never even knew it was illegal to sell them to minors i thought that they sold to everyone because it was a bong shop and there's no age for weed stuff hehe. the shop in my town has bongs vaps pipes weed tee shirts hemp shirts papers all the il **** on the shelves, the clerk smokes weed with her 10 year old son , when we are there. they dont care what age you are or anything. last month when my freind bought a vaporizer she offered a hit of of her bong to try it out because it was on sale. i love living in BC canada

ps: anyone know whats happening with are new law on aug.1 /2001 i know its all changeing but i havent heard a thing since they announced it a long time ago

damn, you guys can't even say bong in a head shop? thats nuts. I live in canada, I went down to a shop called friendly stranger downtown toronto and its just amazing there, its like a jewlery store for bongs an stuff. They have pamphlets and video tapes running on legalizing weed. I went up to the display and there was this wierd looking thing with nails in it and I asked the guy and he's like "you put your pot in there to break it up" its so nice there and the people in there are helpfull too. got some cool stuff from that place. This other one I bought my pipe at is kind of a dump, some old man runs it and the place is filled with smoke. All the times I've been there dude is always burning something behind the counter. The age thing I don't know about since I'm old enuff and never tryed buying a bong or pipe before. But it doesn't mater what you say in there. I could even say "I need a bong to smoke weed" and theres no problems.

yeah man...i've been to toronto (i used to live there), and friendly stranger kicks ass. i like how you go up a big set of stairs to get there. the people are really nice too.

The one I usually go to is pretty cool! They are real laid back! When I first started going there they were real serious about everything, but now theyre pretty cool! I have been to some that are just so uptight! Theres signs all over the walls letting you know that they are tabacco pipes, not bongs! It's totally understandable though with all the raids and bust goin on lately.

the one like 10 mins from my house doesnt have anything cool and is really up tight, i was gonna buy a cheap grinder and i didnt want to break a 20 so i asked my friend to borrow three bucks and id pay him back when we got back to my place and the clerk wouldnt let me do that even. you cant use a grinder to smoke anything...... but then i went to this one down by the beach and i asked them all kinds of questions regarding smoke volume in a certain peice, if they've ever used a certain thing and if they liked it and they were really laid back about it. im never going into the one by my house again

Well, I have been in Indiana about a week. Went to my local head shop here and talked to the guy for a long time. He knows me because I go there a lot throughout the year. This week, I did replace my broken small Dugout with a new MEGA Dugout that holds two (yes I said 2) large cigarette bats! I also purchased a large space case with kief holder. Getting ready for the vaporizer.

Anyway, back to topic....we talk about everything there. What kind of weed is going around, other stuff. He is not uptight in the least. Now, if a stranger tried to talk to him about taboo stuff, he might react differently, who knows. No one has ever been in the store same time as me.

I think they moved friendly stranger recently, I'm not sure, but I know there ain't no stairs. Everything is nice in there, its like a jewlery store but with pipes and bongs and such. painting hangin on the walls of bud an stuff. Its stoner heaven. they got everything made of hemp in there, cookies, chips, all sorts of clothes, its just real nice. they got these masive old hookas in the display in front, its sweet.

Same here. I used to manage a record store/head shop in the upper midwest and we were forced to be very careful about it. While the employees would use 'improper' terms when no one was around, we were very careful, as there are folks out there who felt they were doing the community a service by acting as narcs. Bong, 1ey's (couldn't spell that if I tried. , stash were out as was the biggy: Pot. They were smoking accessories. I've since moved to S.Cal and a local shop has the same language rules. The employees are pretty laid back and discussed the policy with me. Also, their stock is much more diverse than ours was (we weren't allowed any water pipes('official' term), etc. I hope to soon make some new friends, so I can become a regular customer.
