| I have been told many times that some people consider me a "stoner." Now, I don't consider the act of smoking to be something that I should be ashamed of, I don't think that these people have the right to make the assumption that I have nothing better to do then smoke out with my dealer! I was wondering how any of you would describe a "stoner." What makes them a stoner? Is it bad or good? Deftones and Weezer rock... | |

| I think a stoner is a person who gets high all day and fights for marijuana to be legalized. A pot-head smokes every day/week and fights for legalization. And for the people that don't do sh!t but sit around & smoke (whether its everyday or once a week) and brag about smoking (even if they dont brag) are just marijuana smokers. I personally think that all marijuana smokers should try to get it legalized, I kind of see it as a responsibility to atleast try to get it legalized. And there is nothing wrong to be called a stoner or pot-head. I actually like the tag name, except as it puts me as a target for LEO's. But I do keep my profile low.

| To me, you fit under a marijuana smoker. But write letters to congress, the president, your senator and maybe hand out flyers in your town with good info. on marijuana and the WoD. If you don't want to do that, do something else just fight for what you do. And you will definately be a stoner in my eyes. Also you say you dont work but you work for a grower? Do you mean you don't pay for your weed or were you stoned? hehe. ![]() And please don't take this as a insult to you. Its just my opinion. I'm sure you don't really care what a 16 year-old thinks about you anyway. You sound like a cool guy and probably have some great funny stories. Welcome To Marijuana.com Too! ![]() |

| I think "pothead" and "stoner" are such negative terms now. I don't mind being called it, but it isn't a complement coming from a non-smoker, that's for sure. A stoner is probably someone who smokes on a regular basis, with or without friends. Pot-head, i think, refers to someone who does it quite frequently, talks about it, has a nice collection of smoking toys, etc. Basically someone who is infatuated(sp?) We need some new terms like "recreational smoker" or something. There has got to be something not so negative | |

| It depends on how the word is used. To me, i beleive if someone calls me a stoner, or a pot-head out of the blue, and i don't know them well, it is just ignorant. You just don't like hearing some kid you don't know calling you a pot-head.

| To me, calling someone a stoner is comparable to saying someone is a drinker; calling someone a pothead is like calling someone an alcoholic. The first implies simply something you do because you enjoy it, while the second implies you have a problem with it. But I'd still rather be called a pothead than a "druggie" -- now THAT is one term I hate. | |

| It pisses me off it someone calls me or any other marijuana smoker a "druggie" or "crack head" I feel like saying, "well f*ck you too buddy!" to that person and I just automaticly label them as "idiot". As for being called a stoner or a pothead I've never really thought about it and I guess I don't mind it. To me a stoner is just some way cool person that likes to get stoned and a pot-head is a way cool person that likes to get stoned a lot. |
