| Here is a little quiz (The World's Shortest!) to show where YOU fit on the political spectrum. This was posted back during our coup I mean elections, so I thought I'd repost it. You might be surprised. Do you REALLY want govt. out of our private lives?? http://www.self-gov.org/quiz.html p.s. I know this test is simplistic, but it gives a good definition of "right" and "left" as they are commonly understood. You all are welcome. ![]() pps. I score 80/30 "left-liberal" |

| Well, I think we have shown how stupid political terminology is. That quiz uses a different set of definitions than I do (or for that matter, the social studies text book I was referring to), which is fine. I am a 90/60 Libertarian, which surprised me. But then I suspect that was an American test, and I'm Canadian. In Canada, even those on the right of politics believe in basic public health care, minimum wage, and some programs to protect social welfare. Another interesting thing about that quiz were the questions about farm subsidies and free trade. In Canada, our farmers need more subsidies to PROTECT free trade because American farmers receive way more aid (46% compared with 11% here). On a quiz I took at school, I scored 42/60, where 60 is farthest right and 0 is farthest left. "Right-wing" seems to make people uncomfortable, though it shouldn't. The Libertarian Party is a right-wing party... Bah! What am I doing? This is a marijuana website, not a social studies classroom. ~BD
