Hey Cleric. I think thats an aw2esome idea going to Amsterdamn with a stranger. Its a real gamble though. "You could have an amazing life experience or the worst one ever depending on how you and the other person interacts.

Anyways i would liek to go to amsterdamn but i already have plans for the summer and according to you im not old enough
If you say age doesn't matter why would you suddenly cut off anyone under 18? I agree most people that age are irresponsible with weed but how can you determine that all of us are? Im 14 by the way. I mean you cant even determine if people 18 and older have the maturity to go to amsterdamn and not get into trouble or stand up to your criteria. I am sure when you were my age you wern't one of those "irresponsible" kids, so how can you blatantly sugest that we are all like that.
i am not trying to insult you or anything im just trying to point out an observation i made. /so please give me some feedback ( no offense intended)

My final suggestoin is to instead of basing your descion on age why not base it on personality? Im sure you have already thought of this because you are clearly not stupid, so just talk with whoever is interested even if they are older or younger than you and find out if they will be a reliable mate in amsterdamn

Because if i was that young i would have annoyed me right now. In the words of Steve-o from the movie slc punk if the old me saw the new me now he would probably kick the crap out of him.

What you say does hold some merit though, i am majorly depending on personality but age i find has tons to do with personality, i realized its always the younger people who say age doesnt matter when it does, i can not possibly relate with someone who is 4 years younger than me, a complete stranger, and who views weed in an entirely different way, for a whole week. Besides from what i get most younger stoners dont like me anyway. When i said age didnt matter i really meant older age doesnt matter. Your very right though even some 18 year olds treat weed horribly, just look at my real life friends (again if you guys are reading this you suck). And when i was that young i was terribly irresponsible despite being a knowledgable youngster.


But new news, one of my actually good friends is going to come with me/us. Hes 18 and in college and an awesome kid to hang out with. So the roster is going to be as follows (so far) Mirage, Danial, Me and possibly FullyBaked. I agree we will definitly need to find a meeting spot before the flight. This is gonna rock and im actually serious about going so im hoping you guys are too, it wont take me long working two jobs to afford to go there. But like i said its gonna be mid august cause i cant even smoke untill the 8th.

So now the question when can you guys get the money to go and where should we meet? It has to be local for all of us cause im not gonna pay for two wicked expensive flights. I suppose i should check some airline prices. Might as well go do that now...

Damn! I'm 16, no job, and my parents won't go for that. But if you don't do this, which you probably will, wait 2 years and I will seriously go with you. I think it would be great meeting people from this board. And going to Amsterdam with them is a great idea. Right now, I'm not one of those "stupid teenagers". I have a whole different view on marijuana then my friends do, and they fit under the misusing teenager stereotype.

Well when you do this and you get back, post all the stories. Would be great to hear them.

I'm 17 years old, and I also have very mature views of marijuana. My friends smoke themselves retarded and aren't getting anywhere in life.

You've really inspired me. I've talked with friends about taking a trip to amsterdam, but I never thought about going with a stranger. It sounds like something I would like to try once I'm of legal age.

I think going with a stranger would be cool. I like meeting new people. It's really too bad I can't go with ya, Cleric...

1. My parents would never let me go.
2. Not of legal age.
3. I live far, far away from you.

Oh well... I'm sure I'll end up going myself some time in the future anyway!

The cheapest air fare i found is 453.35 at priceline.com.

I am planning to go on august 15th-august19th departing from boston and landing in amsterdam.

Unless you guys want to meet somewhere else just let me know. I wont have my licensce untill july 1st but im weary of driving across states, plus thats more money and whatnot and it seems you guys are gonna be paying a lot cheaper airfare then me

We won't be paying cheaper airfare. The airfares that I listed earlier were just for this past weekend. Just some internet specials. It is just over $1500 per person right now from MSP, or DTW for the dates that you suggest. Right now, it is way too early for me to make a purchase like that.

I would strongly suggest that we all take off from 1 place. We could even have a little fun with that. Somebody with a VW van and some time driving around picking up people (for a price of course).

Seriously i have my own place so we could meet here and hang out untill our flight. Plus the airfare i got seems to be the cheapest i mean 453 isnt bad to fly across the ocean. Im sure someone out there who wants to go has wheels capable enough of driving to massachusetts and making a stop or two on the way. What are all these terms your throwing out danial? MSP what is that? and that other one too. We should all go on ebay and look for tickets there we might make out good on there. Well write back.

Concerning the airfare, I wouldn't even consider booking a flight yet.. The price you have found is good, but it is way too early for me to do that.

A meet is fine, but we really are going to have a way to "discern" who is really serious about this and who would not be. Any ideas on that?
