I just got done reading an article from The Onion ( http://www.theonion.com ) concerning the DEA Chief saying that "Winners occasionally use drugs"

Well, if you know anything about The onion, you will know that it is supposed to be laughed at.

I thought about this subject for a few minutes and know that I am not a looser. I work in a highly professional field that I have to do a good job, or leave. I smoke dope....

I know that there are quite a few students that are here, but how about the rest of us? What do we do?

Are we loosers, or people that society needs?

What do you do that makes the arguement "I'm not a looser"?

Good point……Before the topics were lost in the crash earlier this year, I remember a thread that dealt with this concern.

I feel that you bring up a good topic. One of the main purposes of this website is to educate and inform the public on the realities of marijuana, and clear up all the propaganda, misinformation and downright lies about cannabis that's been so prevailant in our society for many decades.

Like you, I am a college-educated professional. I don't consider myself a "loser" simply because I like mj — unlike what "do-gooder" groups mislead people into believing. One of the main themes of the now-defunct thread dealt with the issue of responsible vs. irresponsible use and the overall issue of use vs. abuse.

I feel this thread will be a positive addition to these boards…and hopefully the moderators and administrators will agree. It may get moved to a more applicable topic, such as Contemporary Thought, but I hope it'll hang around

To post an initial reply to your question, I'd say the things we say here and how we conduct ourselves — both online and in our everyday lives — will go a long way in answering What do you do that makes the arguement "I'm not a looser"?.

I dont know why anti-weed people think that every one that sparks a j is a hobo. Before i started smoking my grades were pretty bad, usally around C+. But now that i started i have to work harder (not very much, i dont really study just pay attention to the teacher, that helps a lot) because is someday i get busted and my grades are low, that will help people think the pot smokers are air heads. My grades are around B and up now. I also play sports. Read a lot, i dont mean Harry Potter (altho i did read the first 2 ). Plan in going to collage next year

To me a looser is anyone who thinks he is a looser. I thought i was a looser untill i hit highschool, when i realized i really wasn't one.

Also, i don't see how marijuana can make you a looser. A looser isn't somone who breaks the law, but instead people that break the law are great risk takers, and are very adventurous. How many loosers do you people know that are adventurous?
