Ok, I got caught again. I moved, recently, into my father's house, which is also our office, so I could work for him. Office work, because he hates it. So, Friday night, I'm waiting for some friends from Out Of Town to visit, and I decide, since it's a weekend, I'm going to smoke a bowl. So I did. I came inside, and the first thing my dad says is "You were smoking pot out there. I can smell it." I can't deny it, if its obvious, for whatever reason, so I didn't.
His responce? Nothing severe or anything, just "Make sure you smoke outside. If you and your friends smoke, make SURE its outside. I don't want the house reeking of pot." Yeah, wierd, cos I know he doesn't like me smoking, but I stopped, this was the first time since I moved (about a month ago).

Sounds like he's pretty chill with it. Just listen to him and only smoke outside and don't over do it.

That's all fine and good on paper, but in the real world most cops are dicks and if they don't have probable cause they will find something and work you until they find something solid. Also probable cause can be just about anything they want it to be, all they gotta do is say they smell weed and bam, you're in it.

About four months ago I was in a car accident with my friend, I got rear ended. Totally not my fault, but the cop decided that since two teenagers were in the car, that he would try and bust us for something. So while I was being put on a stretcher (neck hurt like a bitch, turns out nothing was wrong) the cop searched my friends pockets, his pack of cigs and his baggie of boneless spare ribs from the chinese restaurant, as well as checking my glove box and my car, looking under the seats, etc. He did not find anything. He walked over to me while I was on my back in a neck brace and informed me that my car smelt like burnt marijuana (which was bull as neither myself nor any one of my friends had ever smoked in the car, or ever had marijuana in it) and proceeded to search my pockets while I was on a back board. He never found anything, and I had half the mind to sue him but never got around to making a complaint or anything.

Cops can also pull you over for just about anything, all they need is PC which could be as small as the car isn't registered to you, your car is dirty and obscures the license plate or something equally as small. Generally when they pull you over for stupid stuff, it's because they want a chance to see if you're up to anything and they just need a reason to investigate further. Most cops are asses and will do that.

My advice for MJ and vehicles is don't mix them. Vehicles have almost no place to hid anything, are pulled over often for very small things and are not subject to the same fourth amendment rights as a house would be. Almost all the incidents I know that involve people being caught by cops with MJ happens when they have it in a car or in a similarly stupid place like a parking lot or in public view. If you have to bring it along for a drive, don't smoke it. That causes almost all the problems. If your weaving down the road with your windows all smoked up, you're going to alert a cop. So don't smoke it while driving, and when transporting it always maintain a safe driving manner and obey all traffic laws, as well as making sure your car doesn't raise any suspicion or catch a cops attention. Dirty cars, cars with bumper stickers like Phish or Grateful Dead stickers, tinted windows, loud bass music, any broken lights or a car that looks sporty; like tuner cars with body kits and bright colors, tend to catch a cops attention and they can follow you until they find something to pull you over for, then you could be screwed. If you have to transport MJ, always hide it in your sock or shoe and put any paraphernalia in a locked trunk. Cops can not make you take off your shoes or socks without your consent or a warrant, and they cannot search your trunk without a warrant. Which leads me to my next point.
Never, ever, ever consent to a search. Even if you think you're clean, hell even if you know you're clean, do not consent. Generally if they ask to search you it is because they don't want to be bothered by getting a warrant or there is not enough evidence to go get one. Also if you consent to a search and they do find something, it gives your lawyer nothing to work with and no possibility of getting the evidence suppressed. Also make sure your friends keep their mouths shut. As my fourth period english teacher always told us when she gave us candy in class, "loose lips sink ships." Never, ever admit guilt, because you could be pleading guilty to something they don't know about yet, or something they can't prove until you went and opened your mouth. Cops are trained to intimidate you and will try to screw you over with their lies. Don't fall for it, and assert your rights, but always be polite about it.


As for me I have been lucky, I haven't yet failed a drug test nor have I ever been caught by the cops or the 'rents. However I've been clean for about 7 months due to probation and fear of random drug testing, so I won't be smoking again til I'm off of it, which is in 17 days. w00t!

cops were called on my apartment for a "smell" complaint, like 4 cops came to the door wanting in, saying we will come with a warrent which i believe. they come in we have and ounce and half on the table, a scale, and many pieces lyin around. they come into our bedroom and open our closet and find our plants oh it was grand. they made us flush the ounce and sign a paper and they took off, ddint call or anything. some of our friends tell us it was this chick who used to come over which it prolly was cause shes like 16 and dont care. it sucked they cuffed us and read us our rights. ha

Tip: When the cops say that they will come back with a warrant, the only acceptable response is "You go do that".
If they could get a warrant, they would have gotten one before they knocked on your door.

You first said you had no other weed (and that was the truth). Then you said you were made to throw your weed in the lake out back,I`m a little confused? Also, ya might have got off easy in that the 18 yr old could have been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and I would bet that would have really pissed ol dad off...You might want to lay off the pot while you are under your dads roof if the effect is so negative.Just food for thought.

I got caught a few weeks ago...me and my friends were about to go to my friends house which is practically like a second home to me..

We smoked and then we waited a while and apparantly we still reaked when we walked in and my friends mom decided to hug us and so we got snagged..

I don't get high before I go and if I do I make sure not to smell..

I just can't control or worry about what I smell like.

"You smell like weed"

"No I don't"

"Yes you do"

ok im sure this has happened to someone before, but what the hey:

me(15 almost 16 at the time), 3 friends(15,15,18), and 1 24 year old that i dont know that well but is friends with one of my friends. We decided to go smoke a couple bowls at our usual spot at an elementary school (behind it where janitors keep brooms and mops). After about 4 bowls of some hydro that we had, one of my friends gets up and says he is in the olympics and starts throwing it like a javalin against a wall. I didnt think anything of it, so we decided we didnt want to smoke what was left and walked to the playground part of the school. We were over there for only about 10 minutes before this white surburban pulls up (i was really baked so i thought it was just some guys doing the same thing we had just done) so we stayed on the swings. The car keeps driving up over the backetball court and towards us (this is when things get scarey). for the first 15 seconds i just thought they were drunk so i got up and we started to walk out of their path, then all these lights blast on and they come on the megaphone and tell us not to move (they were like 10 feet from us, and i thought they werre holding those phazers from star trek, which were tazers) and one of the cops got out and told us to go under this gazeebo with our hands on our heads. We had to sit under there for awhile while they went through the usual questions and then they told us they came becasue of a noise complaint, but they knew we had marijuana (supposidly they could smell it when they drove up) so they told us if we had anything to give it to them. they got my ceramic home-made, and about 3 g's. when they looked at it all they decided that since we were honest and polite that no one was going to jail.

In the end the 24 year old got a fine, but it got dropped, me and my 2 15 year old friends got our parents called (my parents were pretty much only pissed that it was the cops that caught me, and that it was at a school), but the 18 year old didnt have anything happen to him, i guess since he is considered an adult.

It was probably the biggest buzzkill of my life, and i havent smoked at that school since then.
