OOh halfbaked thats friggin rough man... i know you havent told us the story of how you got busted yet but if i may say this man, with all due respect your 17. You are 17 years old and in a year you will be considered an adult well at least a "young adult." As far as smoking go's thats your personal choice and regardless what your parents say, once you move out and have your own place there is nothing they can do about it. I was in a similar situation last month although there was never the younger sibling factor I did get busted. I earned my moms respect back by pulling my grades up in the last marking period and passing my finals with flying colors. Granted my mom is pretty cool about the whole situation anyway and i think toked a bit back in her day, but I think if you have the facts and your smart in real life than this wont be much of a set-back for you. Now if school is over for you like it is for me now and your getting busted over your summer vacation the best advice i can give to you to get the trust back is start doing chores around the house and maybe get a job if you dont already have one. What happened in my situation was for the best I think because now I dont have to hide anything from my mom and she knows all my so called "secrets"... I can only hope the same good fortune for you.

Do not let this keep you from doing what you want bro... I wish the best of luck for you and your family for that matter.

if he's lucky itll get alot easier when he turns 18... it did for me. my mom always makes jokes about me smoking. Whenever she asks if i smoke i say "no but if i did i'd still say no." before 18 she'd actually try to catch me high/with weed sometimes... now as long as its not blatantly obvious, im driving, etc its no prob

man i'm glad that my parents know i smoke and that i have good relationships wit my siblings. My sis was the one who got me smokin to begin with, so that wasnt ever a problem.

Well if you're parents aren't the type to go crazy and send u off somewhere for idulging in the herbals, u should feel a lot better once its known. It's a b¡tch trying to hide it all the time and be paranoid.

jeez buddy, thats no good...the situation you're in, that is.

well, the only advice i can offer is to either give up smoking weed for a little bit, or don't blaze at your house, or go home when you're stoned.

there is ways to hide it man, use your head...thats what its there for,right? ^^;

dude i just gotta warn ya man...
if you do that joking around stuff when you really smoke, or close to everytime you really smoke, then IF you got totally caught while seemingly under the protection of this reverse psychology then its very risky for parents to put 2 and 2 together and say "oh my god he WAS smoking all those times!"... even if its not true its hard convincing a parent who could easily come to this conclusion otherwise (trust me on this one). so just a warning.
oh yeah and if add in stuff like "doing lines" and "shooting up" and you get caught smoking pot, theyll think youre doin that stuff too (again, trust me on this one). hope youre cool man, peace.

see basically my group of friends used a buncha different codes for different things, most of which were harmless... somehow someones parents found out what weed was and basically speculated on the rest as harder drugs (not to mention they heard them using it while they knew it and we didnt know they know, easily set up)
yeah it sucked, we still use the codes cause of nostalgia and becuase of habit.
