I dont know where you live troublemaker, but actually, You NEED official drivers training in many states. In Illinois, The State requires you to be enrolled in a drivers school, (which cost about $450 for me,) before you can get a permit. and you need that permit for several months, and need to pass drivers ed before you can get a liscense by 16. If you cant afford it you need to wait til your 18. So maybe you should know a little more about the subject before you give us your "opinion" about how useful a class is.

I'm from South Dakota, and here you get a permit at age 14 which allows you to drive with a parent or "responsible person" over 18. After obtaining the permit, you can get a restricted license, which allows you to drive from 6AM to 10PM, without anyone needing to be in the car.. You can also drive from 10pm to 6Am as long as you are with a parent. At age 16, this becomes a full license without restrictions. As for me sharing my OPINION, I was going on the information I have had first hand experience with. I'm not arguing that driving intruction is required in some areas. However, it isn't in ALL states, and I stick to my OPINION that real world experience is just as valuable, actually more so, than any class. Some things must be experienced to fully understand.

Sorry to go too off-topic, but its worse in PA. Permit at 16, then you need to wait 6 months. After the 6 months, you can get a restricted license (I think its similar to Troublemaker's state, except you can't drive at all during the restricted times, UNLESS you have a job that you need to be going to, and you have a note written from your boss ).

Just to keep this off-topicness going, it's 16 for a permit in New Jersey, and 17 for a restricted license. At 18 you can get a full, unrestricted license. I only got a couple months left until I turn 17, I'm so excited.

I agree that South Dakota has some pretty pimpin driver's licensing rules. Its been a subject of debate here for awhile,m as soon people obviously feel that its too young. However, this state is mainly rural people, and school buses don't run in many areas off the main highways and such. this is the main reason SD has such liberal laws concerning young drivers. Its impractical for parents to drive their 14 yr old kids to and from school each day. For example, I drove 21 miles ONE WAY to school each and every day. Where my parent's ranch is located, it was that far to the nearest school. it would take a huge chunk out of my parent's work day if they they would have had to drive me to school, and come pick me up every afternoon. Also, many rural kids do a lot of labor on family farms/ranches, and much of this requires the abilitity to drive. While it seems really awesome to some people, there actually is a reason why our driving ages are so low.....and if you get a ticket of any kind between the ages of 14-16, you are not eligable to retake the driver's test until your 16th b-day

I didn't think it would ever happen I had the perfect smoking method but it happened this morning...I got caught.

I've been smokin in my bathroom for about 3 weeks now and blow the hits out the window then get in the bath when I'm done. It worked perfect I enevr smelled anythin. then today I finish up and get in the shower my my opens the door to ask me somethin. She says it reaks and barges into the room.

I put my weed lighter and bowl all in my sock. So my mom finally finds my sock on the ground and feels what in it pulls it out and leaves the room.

I go into my room after finish showering I'm shakin like crazy but I'm so scared. My mom tell me to bring my paraphnaila(sp?) and weed into her room. I do and then I hand it to my dad. My mom asks why I do it. I reposnd wit a enjoy it. Then we have this talk adn she says its not bad for u and I can get arrested for it. I said I have to weight the consequences adn she says u choose jail over being free. Then she wantted to kno where I got the bowl adn weed. I made up some story about gettin it from town

the bowl is actually my friends that he gave me the night before to hold on to because his parents were gonna search his room. so She took that adn no I have to find some cash to pay him back with. Then the talk was basicly over.

I went downstairs and started playing some veidos now very stoned and pissed at gettin caught. then my mom comes down adn tell me she still loves me gives me a hug adn joking says U should stop because its bad for u. I said fine and then she starts joking wit my dad saying "ok look he said he would stop all i had to do was ask" so I think she knos I'm still going to do it. I also during the talk told her how I set limits for my self never to go on to harder drugs.

She said I can do whatever I want when I'm 21 but I'm pretty sure she knows i'm going do.

On the other hand my dad said if he ever found weed again he would take it to the police himself.

All in all i think they kno I'll still do and don't care much.

What do u guys think?

peace,

smokin
