those kind of parents do not want to hear what you have to say about marijuana, even if it is the truth. they probably just dont want other people finding out that their son is had a "drug habit." i want to say you should be more cautious but that wouldn't help you now. personally, i would wait until the first drug test and fail that one just in case they are bluffing about it. you can make up an excuse for the first one, like you probably still have some left in your system, when you smoked you smoked ALOT, or something like that. but you know them better than i do, so make the right decision. If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

yeah... likewise. Sorry you got busted, but thems the breaks. Pot IS illegal and if you decide to do it, this is the risk you take.

as per the argument about the gateway drug, I'm not going to get into it. In your situation, it's not even worth the trouble with your parents. You could say that booze or smokes are the real gateways, but chances are you're not supposed to have those either...

the lacing thing, though. That's something that drives me insane. It's a drug-war myth gone awry. Let's consider this rationally, shall we? Let's say dealer x wanted to sell you a bag laced with, oh, let's say coke. Dealer X had to BUY the coke that he is deviously lacing into your bag. Say you've bought a dime of straight bud off of said dealer in the past for $50. Now he's sneaking coke into his bags to sell to unsuspecting smokers. Suddenly, the price of the dime's you buy regularly leaps to twice that price. Dealer X has to pay for that coke he's lacing your bud with somehow. So just by price, you'd know something was up. A $100 dime is an easy thing to spot if it's the real deal, you know? Secondly, lacing is risky business, and this is not to say that it hasn't gone down in the past, but dealers want to keep you coming back. Where is the logic in killing off customers or making them sick so the next time they want a bag they look elsewhere instead of buying your bad weed?

heh thanks guys.... yeah, if i lock the door to my room i'm in alot more touble than if i didnt but i guess its better than the pot. My parents are indeed unreasonable about alot of stuff. I think im just gonna smoke up good, then take a nice long detox. Thanks alot though.

one thing about the gateway theory that pisses me off, is that people who start out doing drugs, usually start with weed, then try others, that doesnt necessarily mean its a gateway drug, cigarrettes and alchohol are much more dangerous and parents are only more concerned with weed, becuz its illegal and they dont have all the facts...

this is my oppinion but I hate it when my parents refer to it as pot or dope, I dont like it being called pot unless your saying pothead...I dunno why, just bugs me..I also hate how theu blame everything bad on weed

Man, I HATE parents like that. My parents aren't that bad, but I still have to sneak around. Sucks that I'm home for Thanksgiving break and bored as ****, thinking about all the **** I could be doing up at college now.

Alright, so my friend Andy calls me at 4:00 on Sunday evening and asks if I wanna say I'm going to a movie and really drive around and chief. I told him that'd be cool and another kid was going to drive. So my friend calls like every 10 minutes to tell me something stupid. He told me to say that a kid named Joel was driving when a kid named Eric was really driving. His parents hate Eric because he's got a drug problem. Eric told my friend that he had stolen the car from his parents and my friend made Eric let him out of the car. My friend's parents called my house and told my parents what was going on, about Eric's stolen car and his drug habit.
So after about 10 scared minutes in my room overhearing the conversation, my mom comes in my room and has like an hour long talk with me about drugs. She was like "Lemme tell you, I know drugs are fun, but they're illegal and the punishments are way too harsh. I don't want you to get arrested because it could really mess up your future." She really had no health concerns about pot but she did have legality issues.
So my friend calls me from Freedom (the gas station's here) and tells me that he didn't know Eric had stolen the car and he got out and was stranded up at Freedom. My parents told him to call his parents and see if it was ok if he slept over.
We went and picked him up and my dad gave both of us a drug talk. He basically said the same thing as my mom and I didn't even get grounded.
Well, I think I'm gonna take like a month-long break. It will give me time to get it out of my system and regain trust from my parents....

Maybe take a bit more than a month... Your parents trust is worth way more than a buzz. And at your life-period, the threats and punishments from being caught are pretty severe (and they can;t help you out of them). They sound pretty cool, and like they care. Honor them and their belief in you. Be straight with them, and yourself. Cannabis has been around for a few million years... it will wait for college.

The 'D' means decriminalized - possession is merely a civil offense. No mark on your criminal record, just like here in New York. Of course, it's still not fun to be caught by a cop.

You cant get federal student loans... Thats the biggy man. Yeah your parents sound really cool, and it sounds like you have a good relationship with them. I would hold off until they barely remember it. Its not worth making them angry and ruining things for. Now, If things were ****** at home, then why not, but this isnt the case.

Sucks you got caught, I know how that crap can be....It's good your parent sdidn't totally flip out or anything. I think taking a break would probably be the best thing to do. I you quit you can always wait untill you move out, or if you just take a break I'd be more careful and do everything I could to not get caught again.
