Chips and salsa

I was caught by the police today. They took both the pipes we were passing around the circle at 4:20 at the Folklife Festival, dumped them, then put them in the trash.

I got mine back, but my friend's broke

We were too far out from the massive group of stoners convened by the "hippie trees," so the cop just said "You can't be smoking it out in the open like this..." which was pretty cool. They don't really care in Seattle, especially at events in the Centre.

Hempfest is 8/20-8/21, at which point they really won't care. I'm just glad they didn't arrest anyone or call parents.

Never thought I'd get busted. Oh well.

Was at a local park (park meaning a big gravel square surrounded by woods and trails) at night, waiting for my friends to show up. I had the bowl and the weed, about an eighth of what was once a quarter of really dank bud. We smoked at this place allllll the time, and it seemed like I always beat them there, so I was used to waiting.

So a car slowly turns in, and I immediately realize it is not my friend's car...the headlights are different. The second I think that, BAM spotlight in my eyes. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I wasn't smoking or anything, just sitting, but I knew this was bad.

They were Park Police...and one was a complete rookie. She asked what I was doing at a park after dark bla bla bla, I came up with that I'd gotten lost looking for my friend's house. She didn't believe me at all, her reason was that I'd turned around and parked facing out (presumably for a quick getaway...doh). I denied drugs and all. They asked if they could search my car, and I said yes, since I knew it was clean. That was my mistake. Logically, they then asked if they could search me. The weed and bowl were in my pocket. I really couldn't say no, since I'd just agreed about the car. But I came up with some weak probable cause line but they kept pushing, telling me that they could tell I was lying etc.

So I just admitted I had the weed, since I wasn't getting out of this situation. I was hoping by being cooperative I could maybe get off, since my friends had been busted before, but since they told the truth the cops let them go (lucky ****faces). No dice. Cuffed me, brought me to their station (which was insanely far away, 45 minute drive or so).

That was March 30. Haven't smoked since then. Since I was 17 I got a Diversion Program thing, so I have to complete a 6 week treatment thing (which I'm halfway through, twice a week...it's lame) and go to Teen Court, where high school kids give me my sentence. I got 25 hours of Community Service, a letter of apology to my parents, two JETS classes, and a tour of a local jail. Blech. I start the service tomorrow, 8 hours.

I can't WAIT to smoke again. I will be back. I miss it.

Hello! New to the 420 Lounge, long time herb user.

I was caught by the pigs... er cops on 9-11-04 and here's my story...

Around the block from my house there is an apartment complex which has something along the lines of an enclosed breeze way (about 5 of them alltogether) which are seldom travled.

It was a preferred place to toke by me and my friends for a few years but that quickly fadded.

Myself and 3 friends had a very large blunt which we planned to smoke, we walk over the spot and light it up and finish.

After we toke the goodness, one friend (who lives at the complex) goes home and myself and the two other friends procede to the car (in the parking lot) to drop off the other friend at his home about 3 miles away or so, then I was going home.

On the way to the car, just before we step into the parking lot (theres large bushes on either side of the sidewalk to the parking lot) three plain-clothed pigs actually jump out form behind the bushes and say exactly, "freeze gentlemen, put your hands on top of your head." (they provided no identification but we knew who they were)

We were promptly hand cuffed and searched, one friend had a half-oz in his pocket which they found and after they searched my pockets they came up with nothing. I was asked by the pig searching me, "Where's the dope, I can smell it on ya" (Around here, dope is referred to as herion, which I do not do at all) so I told him that I didn't have any and that I did not do dope.

At this point, after my pockets were searched, my genital area and anus were examined by the pig. (Yes, my penis and anus!!!) Still, he found nothing and threw me on the ground where I laid on my side (I was cuffed and could not break my fall or land upright)

The pig proceeded to remove my shoes and socks (where I had 4 grams of herb for personal consumption at a later time) and said, "You're screwed buddy." I was pulled back up and pushed into a waiting squad car in which I was taken to the station. (barefoot)

At the station, I was still excersizing my right to remain silent unless my parents or lawyer was present. My parents showed up and my dad blew up at the cop cursing him out and asking if even remembered what the 60's were like and how he had nothing else better to then to bust kids smoking pot. (He was a smoker for over 30 years himself)

My parents and I were told I was being charged with "Possesion of CDS Marijuana", "Intent to distribute" and "public intoxication". Unless I gave up the source of my herb, in which I would only get possesion.

I gave the pigs a name and a dummy address in the next town over, in which they dropped it to possesion. I went to juvenile court where I was sentenced to one year's probation and the completion of a drug program once a week while on probation as well as random drug testing.

I am almost done with all of this (getting off early for good behavior), I will be off mid June and plan to fire up a HUGE doobster.


To this day, I cannot walk down a street in my town without being stared down by police and or spotlighted. For instance, I was walking home from a friends house very close to me (not high or in possesion of anything) and a cop pulls up to the stop sign as I turn the corner, puts the spotlight on me and puts his car in reverse and follws me to the next corner where he then pulls off.

I feel very uncomfortable where I live now, and cannot wait to leave. I feel like I've just gotten out of prison for murder or something, to this day I still feel as if no cop is a good cop, they're all pigs which I know isn't always the case but it's how I feel.

I'm guessing she knew because of the somewhat noticable sound that comes with dry mouth (the sort of "click" kind of sound when you talk).

they cant shoot you unless youve attacked them or somebody else, and if they dont have ID you have every right to just walk away

They can shoot at you if you're running. Cops always yell, "Stop or I'll shoot!"

lmao, a cop isnt guna shoot you, they would just chase you down and beat the hell outta you,inless u get away.

A cop cannot shoot someone just because they are fleeing. Life must be in danger before a cop can fire his weapon in the line of duty. How many times have you heard an ACTUAL cop say that, instead of one on TV or in a movie? My guess would be none, because an officer can be tried for murder if he shoots someone who is only fleeing, and isn't a danger to anyone. How do I know this? I have a 4 yr. degree in criminal justice.....the law is what i know....but don't necessarily follow
