An off-duty officer has all the powers of arrest as an on-duty officer in most jurisdictions. They are sworn law enforcement officers, so its very much differnt than your neighbor buying handcuffs and trying to arrest you. Cops have a duty to uphold the law, and that duty doesn't necessarily end when they punch out on the timeclock.

I've got a story. its not about getting caught but still good. One time me and my friends were tokin' up in my friends room in the basement and his mom walks in on us. She's cool tho and infact does it a lot. So she proceded to ask him for some and when he mumbled something she went to his stash cabinet. When she opened it up and reached in to get some stuff she knocked over his bong that was in there. It spilled horrible horrible bong water everywhere in the vicinity. So my friend got up and started beating his mom with a coushin or something and telling her to "get the fuck outta here". It was in all good fun tho. After she walked out we all laughed at how insane that was. It was pretty goddamn funny.

Shit, I got cought again, but this time it was all because of my incredible stupidity. I come home with a friend at around midnight, we are both pretty stoned but we had just picked up some good bud so we get my bong out and take a few rips in my backyard. I go back into my room and set the bong on the floor. That was my first dumb move. My second was thinking I could play my bongo' s without waking my dad up. I was playing them really softly and I did not think he could here them. I was wrong, after a few minutes he comes into my room and tells me to keep it down. He wasnt upset or anything, just asked me to keep it down. As he is leaving my room he sees the bong lying in the middle of the floor. He stares at it for a good ten seconds then turns to me and says "we need to talk". It turned out ok, he assumed it wasn't mine (because Im not 18) and since there wasnt any water in it and my room didnt smell like smoke he assumed I didnt smoke it. But yeah, I hate getting caught, it really sucks.

ive never been caught *knock on wood* I think the more u smoke without getting caught the more carless you are. Thats my case anyways. But my advice is to just smoke blunts. Leaves no evidence, no pipe needed. and its gangsta

Yeah I todaly agree. Back when I started to smoke weed I only Smoked out of bowls. Then I got caught with my pipe. So I only smoked blunts for like a month. You get higher with blunts anyway. But I just baught a bowl yesterday, so I godda hide that shit...

Well...One time i woz sitting in my room having a sesh wen all of a sudden these torch lights wer shining in my room thru the window.
U was sooooo fukin stoned aye.
Anyways,i was freaking out coz it turns out tht the cops were doing a raid on my house.
I Ended up getting caught with an ounce,nd i gt it all taken off me!!!
So,in the end,i got done for possesion md i got fined A Shitload,lol.
3 years later im still toking up,jst as hard,lol.
Ill neva forget tht day.
It woz the first and last time i eva got snapped with weed.
I still live in fear of the PIGZ tho.
