I have a question, when you graduate...were you just happy to be out of school, or what were you feelings? Ive heard some people are upset because they realize there getting older and need to work, and that you will never see your friends again or just leave all the people you grew up with for good. It doesnt really seem like something im looking forward to.

Well i am graduating in 4 weeks and this is how i see it. I am going to be happy to be out. Knowing that i now have the time to persue things that i really am passionate about. Yeah i am a bit sad that i am going to be leaving everyone i went to school with but im moving to live with my bestfriend and nothing would be better than that. I am very very excited. This who graduating thing does seem sort of surreal though. I am deffinatly ready. Its going to be a very busy next 4 weeks for me. Tomorrow i am going to an awards ceremony because i am getting an award for being in the top 1% of my graduating class. Friday i have a theater production(Random Acts Of Humor... thats what we are calling this production heh) and then on the 31st i have a final for my sign language class. The 2nd i am taking the SAT's and then the 13th i have my major presentation that i have to do to graduate. Which this presentation i am VERY stressed out about because its a huge project that ive been working on all year and im jus nervous. Then on the 16th.... thats graduation. That night i am going to party my ass off because you know what? I deserve it! I have worked my ass off these last two years and its gotten me very far. I am so happy about it too. I am getting an honors deploma and that is something that i didnt think would happen, but ive surprised myself with how smart i really am.

Woah okay heh.... i didnt mean to write all that but forgive me im baked.

When I graduated (just last year, class of 2000), I had no idea what to expect. I was a lot happier to be out of high school (or "The Machine" as me and my friends call it) than it seems like you're gonna be, but that's expected. I had feelings similar to yours, we all do. Leaving high school is a big change, and change is scary. From this day forward, everything is going to be different than it ever was before. But I suppose you could say that about any day, couldn't you?

You're real friends will stay in touch, the others, maybe, maybe not, but they won't be the people who matter. You'll make new friends wherever you go, college, work, etc. There is a lot of pettiness and immaturity in most relationships in high school, of whatever nature, and that will be gone for most people.

I don't really know what else to say, yeah it's scary and daunting, but we've all gotta do it. You'll get through it, we all have. Congratulations on graduating and good luck in the future, where ever your road takes you, and the same goes for the rest of the class of 2001 or any other year for that matter!

Thumbs up

im graduating in two weeks...im really feeling happy to get out of there. Mostly because of the headmaster who is the biggest sack of shhh ive ever met. made me get a drug test, always assumed i was high, when i was just tired from being up all night with sleep depervation.
Ill miss the friends etc, yet there always reunions, and keep in touch etc.
But just think, if your going onto college its a whole new realm, new people, new ideas, everythings different, and if your going on to work, same deal.
Congrats on graduating, enjoy that diploma.

Question I just had my grad and here's what I wrote after:

Have you ever looked at yourself through shades of reality, and when you saw yourself, did you want to cry, but no tears came? This has been my evening, seeing clearly for the first time. Now I'm watching the sun rise...have you ever just looked at something beautiful and not wanted it at all? Just tossed it aside once and for all because you saw it for what it was and the beauty, what you believed in, was gone? Have you ever felt reborn, though you had to die first, you had to destroy yourself?

Sometimes realizing a dream takes a nightmare. Tonight was one of the worst nights of my lfe, but I learned something about myself tonight that I could have never learned in a classroom. I learned who I am, to me and to others. I have had an almost spiritual journey. Marijuana and ______ have shown me the way.

I'm sure I'll wake up sometime and think how stupid I am for posting this, but whatever. This was my thought process at 5 am.

I gots me an edumacation maaa!

Im so happy im over with high school. Best years of my life indeed. But now like suede was hinting at is where life gets tricky. Not entirely just busting my butt working 40 hours a week all summer to pay tuition. Its ok its only 1,500 i can make that easily in 2 1/2 months time. That is if i live like a hermit. Im still not totally sure if i should take a year off and work and get a lot of stuff before i go. Id like to have a new computer since well im going in for web programming and networking it would do me good to have something other than this lil celeron 500 to work with. But then people instill fear in me that if i get working hard i just wont go. i would though i swear, its just i didnt fill out financial aid forms this year like a clown and now well if i go im going to have to pay for all of it. Sighhh im not sure what to do i mean like i said i COULD make the money for college especially with my new raise and million hours a week. i suppose i should go just to make it happen. Besides where else am i going to find girls?
