Hello all. I'm a sophomore here at Macalester College, and the attitude here towards the good herb is pretty liberal.
Every year we have Springfest, which is an orgy of popcorn, weed, pretzels, and cotton candy (the latter two I stay away from.) From personal experience, what are the attitudes towards pot at your campus?

At the U. of Toledo, we never had any festivals, although I'd been told we'd had some in the past. In fact, a girl who worked for the Campus Activities Council said they almost had a free, day long festival with ekoostik Hookah headlining, and it would have been feet from my dorm building. My favorite band, feet from my dorm room. But they ended up having to cancel the whole thing.

I'm home in Columbus for the summer, and tomorrow there's this thing called Hempfest on campus. That should just about tell you OSU's opinion.

The key to college is keeping a low profile. Drug use is common at all levels of higher education. Heck, I smoke with three different professors and when asked my the dean of students, I told her I was a pot head. If you can keep up your GPA, you can be stonned all that time.

Ahhhhhhhhhh College, parent free and the start of my growing days. This all starts in 4 years.

I'm goin to the rochester inst of tech...you can get suspended for a year if you get caught with weed. They don't really search rooms, but they often catch people during firedrills since they search all the rooms to make sure everyone's out. you just have to keep yer bud outta view, in a closed drawer or something (they can look, but can't disturb anything)

Any college is marijuana friendly. Dorm rooms are the most drug infested places this side of a Phish tour. I lived on the 14th floor of 16. There were no dealers on my floor. I knew one on 16, one on 15 (he always had some), a couple on 13, none on 12 (all girls floor ), a couple on 11, a grower on 10, one on 7, one on 3, and about 3 or 4 off campus. Just make sure you go to class. Me and my group of 5 friends were up to about an eighth a day between us, consequently, I didn't make it to class most of the time.

BTW, when scheduling class, right now, 10:00 seems like really late. When you get to school it will be really really early. The best time for classes is between noon and 4:00. That way you can sleep in plenty.

i would have to say that OSU is a pretty friendly place. i remember when i was 14 i went there for little sibs weeknd with my sister. and the first 10 mins i was in the door a kid ran down the hall and asked me if i wanted to smoke bud. to bad my sister grabbed me and yanked me in the room......otherwise i would have.

plus the parties i went to were pretty easy to find things......i cant wait till i goto college. i want to goto learn, but atleast it will be good for hookups.
