I'm not new to AZ, but I've been taken a (very) long sabbatical that's about to end.... So, not knowing where else to look, I thought I'd come here to try and make some new friends. I'm in the Phoenix area but make it down to Tucson every now and then... pm me!

Since some people responded in here, for those who live in Arizona, what is your bud situation like?

I can get maybe 4-10 different types of bud in a given moment, all ranging in the same price range ($220-450 an ounce, with $300 being the median). The quality is great, some of it is homegrown in Tucson and in Tempe (funny thing actually, three growers in Tempe that I know are Jewish), but very good stuff nonetheless. Bud comes in from Mexico (if you smoke that stuff, that is), Colorado (there bud is always the same consistency, taste, smell, etc. for some reason), California (nothing special really, same as the bud that grows in Arizona), and up north from Canada and the likes, which is usually the fresher of the bud choices if it's brought down right, compared to bud grown/cured in Arizona and surrounding areas, which tends to be a bit dry or "fluffed" by dealers. With the right connection though, a pound of bud so sticky it sticks to the walls when you throw it, will cost about $675...yes, that is the price of one pound, but you have to have the connect to get that deal, it's the stuff that comes in from the Mid-West/North-East (either Chicago or close to the Mississipi River and surrounding areas) and it comes by the truckload. Schwag is easy to find, but good bud is easier, and finding someone who smokes is very easy. Just about everyone you meet has either smoked, still does, or used to. It's a college town (talking about the East Valley area), lot's of people come here to "get away" so it's a big mix of people with different habits.

I do notice different smoking habits in Arizona than I do in the South (Georgia, South Carolina, etc.). People in the South smoke different, when a session is taking place, everyone has a sack, instead of here where just one or two people will have a sack and everyone else just joins in for the free smoke. Probably because we smoke better bud here, and good bud in the South is hard to come by, especially when you can get three different kinds of "schwag" (i.e. anything that isn't good bud, chronic, dro, etc.). Schwag in Arizona is dirty, but not as dirty as the South; but it is cheaper here though, $300 will get you a pound of schwag fresh from Mexico (fresh is the keyword, since schwag usually sits around for Lord knows how long in compressed areas before it ever is sent out for distribution).

So, all you Arizonians, what's your bud situation like, what do you pay, and how's the quality?

$15-20 - 1.0 gram
$40-60 - 3.5 gram
$80-120 - 7.0 gram

A quarter-pound usually runs $800-1200, a half-pound for $1600-2300, and a pound for $3000-4500. Those are average prices I would say, there are exceptions of course. Keep blazing...

Hey, I am from Gilbert, Arizona. Anyone else from the east valley? It'd be nice to meet up with some mature adults to discuss many issues related to marijuana and other political, theoretical, and other subjects over a nice smoke. Seems all I can find for the last 30 days is some C grade chronic.

Sorry that this may be a double post, I am not really looking for smokers around Arizona though, specifically in these 3 cities only. That's why I did not post another reply in the previous Arizona forum
