I'm headed to Tulume mexico the 17th of June and im too scared to bring buds on the plane with me but i wanna smoke like a mad man down there does anyone know what the deal is with weed in mexico can i just walk around looking for it? is it cheap? is there a lot of dealers?

I've never been to Mexico (or bought bud in a foreign land) but from all the stories I've heard, it shouldn't be too hard. If the area you're going to is a major tourist spot, there'll be dealers, and they'll probably approach you.

I know that in Jamaica, you can't go anywhere without being offered herb. One of my favorite bands, ekoostik Hookah, chartered a plane a couple years ago and flew themselves and a bunch of fans down to Jamaica for a couple shows. It was before I was into the band, but I know a bunch of people who went, and they bought bags before they even left the airport.

yeah sure, tis no problem to get some in Mexico, hell it's kind of a mecca for weed smokers if you're american..

I've bought some dub only once abroad [which is only cause it was the first time I travelled since I started smokin pot ] but I got bull****ted.. damn, we were standin on some Square and we needed some green badly, so when some guy offered us skunk we were happy to take the opportunity.. well he was the fukkin nicest politest person in the world and I gave him 30 pounds and he gave me a piece tightly wrapped in some foil, and I didnt wanna look at it cause in London theres cameras everywhere, but when we opened it up at the hotel it was nothing but DIRT!! I was out of my goddamn mind, but "fortunately" it was my homey's money..
and the ironic part is, just the day before, we were standing in front of a McDonalds, and a fukkin rasta freak held up a bag full of ism right in my face and I had no money wit me...

So, if you buy weed in england, make sure to have a look at it first.

Mexico,Canada,Germany,etc.etc.etc.except where it is absolutely legal to purchase and consume marijuana,you need to be careful.Just for beginners,the less $$ you put in the hand of your strange new contact,the less you stand to loseb.s.
p.s.and if you're in Mexico,you can count on loosing yura$$ a few times....so don't blow the whole lifes savings on the first good sounding deal

my bro had this friend who went down to jamaica. he got a hotel room and at like 9 the first night this old janitor dude was like "i can get you anything you want-girls, alcohol, weed, anything." they gave him like 50 bucks and in literally 5 minutes he was back with 3 OUNCES of weed. they said it was sort of middle grade ****, but good. i understand as a rule that most weed in mexico or europe or parts of africa--basically everywhere but america and amsterdam, is absolute ****. especially in mexico or in like middle european countries and russia--its all brown and ****. but, in amsterdam, canada, America and jamaica and some parts of africa (i dunno about asia or australia) the weed is good. and in amsterdam and jamaica the weed is real funkin cheap. this info might not be accurate but i think its not too far off.

I've heard some insane stories from Jamaica. Like a farmer took some friends of mine out to his crop and letting them pick their own buds. Gave them a pound for $15. Hell, give me a 1/4 of decent stuff for $15 and I'm happy.

sgtspliffkin, wtf, where did you get that information from?! I assume you are american, but from what I've heard (among others from my buddy who's a real pothead and just returned from a 4 month stay in the US) getting weed in the usa is hard enough, and you hardly ever get some good ish over there.. I cant imagine why the situation in canada should be any different.. well but I've never been there...

but Europe? it depends where you are, but where I live I always get some good weed (which means good to very good. occasionally it's very fine **** from amsterdam but the last time I smoked some bad stuff was half a year ago), the only problem here is it's pretty expensive.
hm let's see, I'll go for an overview for tourists: in eastern europe its really ****ty.. expensive and rather bad, though sometimes theres some good import from the middle east
in germany and austria you can always get some very nice green, but it'll cost you something. (dunno about France really)
in mediterrainian (sp?) countries like italy and croatia you get it very easily and very cheap, dont expect much from it tho, it's always outdoor and just about okay.. Spain is very cool though, just as cheap but much better.
dunno about Greece but I'll soon find out as my girlfriend is right there at the moment.
and then of course we have the Netherlands and Switzerland, where it's legal, well everyone knows about Amsterdam, it's just the best weed you can imagine and quite cheap.. and in Switzerland it gonna be the same soon.. [all of this is what I've experienced and what I've heard, if some residents of those countries can correct me, right on]

but Asia and India is just where it's at! the best weed, the best hash, very cheap, I HAVE to get there soon!!


oh yeah, how much is an ounce in grams, can somebody tell me please?
(over here you pay about 7 to 9 dollars for a gram)

BoodahSmokah, Marijuana is not difficult to find in the US and unless you don't know what or who you're dealing with the quality of indoor grown marijuana is par with the rest of the world. I'm an outdoor grower and have a crop each year that will put to shame most of the crap that's sold as imported commercial because the large operations are into quantity and not quality.

The situation in Canada is such that much of the marijuana activity is ignored or has minor consequences, so more people are involved in cultivation. British Columbia is considered the Amsterdam of North America if that helps to illustrate my point.

You're also mistaken on the status of marijuana in the Netherlands where it's decriminalized and not legalized. Switzerland is on their way to doing the same thing, but nowhere is marijuana actually legal.

BTW, 1 ounce = 28.34375 grams.

Wanted to teach me a lesson, heh? it's ok, tis fine to get some more info.. well as I said I've never been to america or canada, I dunno what it is like there.. I just repeated what that buddy said and I found it quite surprising that he had difficulties buying some weed.. well I dont put much interest into that area and I dont know much about it..

as for the legal status of MJ, no I'm not mistaken, I know that it isn't LEGAL in those countries, but me and my homies always use the term 'legal' in reference to NL and CH , cause I figure if you can buy it and use it without any problem I'm not so far off.. I guess I dont have to tell you that the actual effort on a prosecution of something doesnt always match what the law says.. which often works in both ways, sadly, if you know what I mean..
