I first tried it when I was 15... I was visiting family in Germany and my cusion was an obvious stonner from the first time I walked into his room to meet him.

I saw something sitting on his night stand and asked him what it was and he said, "This is a bong for smoking marijuana." ...and the rest is history.

It was just occassional smoking for me until I turned 16. After that, it slowly increased. I usually get high about once a day now. If I don't get high everyday it doesn't seem to bother me, tho.

I don't honestly remember when I started smoking, but I've known for years that my pops smoked.

He was in a band back in the day, so I had always figured that, yeah, the ole' man had been lightin it up for a long time. Well, back in high school, he would smoke some of my friends up when we would party over at his place. For some reason, though, he was never straightforward with me about the bud, and I guess that's cause he was afraid of what my mom would say if she found out I was into it.

Anyway, not even a month ago, I was visiting home (taking a break from work), and my buddies and I had some KBs and were using a bubbler to light things up a bit. Of course, my pops sees us doing this outside, but being the true champ that he is, he offers us some more smoke when we come back inside.

We spent the rest of the night listening to his stories about how he first tried bud when he was 14...How he smoked out every day at my high school (we went to the same place), despite the fact that it was a strict, private school....and how he continues to smoke out every day simply because, as he put it, "stoned is cool."

I couldn't agree more.

i first smoked in 8th grade, it was around my 14th birthday (not sure if i was 13 or 14) and i smoked the first chance i had, i got a tiny amount from my friend and smoked for the first time alone out my window with a homemade pipe, but i didnt get high till like the 5th or 6th time smoking

my mom used to be a pot head in college (her words) but my dad said he never has, becasue he was too cheap, but i dont really believe him. neither of them smoke now.

i have a few friends that dont smoke (on a regular basis) but they are all cool with my smoking, and i often smoke when with them

i usually smoke alone, but primarily becasue the 3 people i used to always smoke with (2 were brothers) have moved about 20 minutes away, in opposite directions. i smoke when around other people very often, but usually i am the only one smoking.

My smoking hobby started my first year of college...just something I always wanted to try that I ended up liking A LOT. My parents seem to think that if you don't talk about something, it doesn't exist, but I'd bet that at least one of them were, at least social users of our herbal friend during their younger years. Ugh, straightedge...I could write a fricking book on dealing with friends who use that as an excuse not to do different things...I personally believe that the decision to use of not use certain substances is best made as an individual decision, not to fit in to a crowd. While such a movement may have its merits, I feel that it often largely misses the point, but, then again, this is my individual experiences with a few people that has formed this opinion in me, for the most part.
