when and why did you start smoking? do your parents smoke? do any of you have friends that are "straightedge"? do you smoke alone, or just with friends?
just a few things i'm curious about. :-)

I think that this question has been asked a few times, but WTH?

I smoked a couple of times (maybe twice) before I turned 30, but really never got into it. A former girlfriend introduced me to smoking a few years ago, and I haven't really looked back.

My father smokes, or used to. His favorite expression used to be "Thank God for Cruise Control) because he loved to drive long road trips in Alaska very baked.

My fiancee does not smoke, but does not have an issue with it as long as it doesn't affect our lifestyles. She has even noted that we communicate differently when I am high and welcomes it occasionally.

I usually smoke alone right now. I have not hung around my "stoner" friends for a bit, but am not opposed to smoking with other people. I find it more fun to smoke with others usually.

I started smoking when I was 15. I'd heard about it and wanted to try it. it was just occasional for about a year, then I started smoking regularly, and now I toke daily. Sometimes I wish I'd given my brain more time to develop before I started smoking, but then I look at my herb and think..naaaah!

My father used to smoke. He looks upon it as a mistake. poo on that...my mom claims she never smoked, but I think she's lying, cause I know my uncles did, and they were close.

I have a few friends who are sXe, but they're not hardcore...I suppose I smoke by myself about the same amount I smoke with other people.

The first time I ever tried weed is about 11 months ago .. last Augest. Nearly all my friends were pot heads since grade 10.. but I never got into it until the summer before grade 12. I'm 18 years old right now. My friends would always ask me if I wanted to try it but every single time I just said no. Until one night on Augest 2000 I was talking on ICQ with a good friend and asked me once again if I wanted to smoke with him that night and I said yes just because I was curious and also I was feeling kinda depressed at the time.

I didn't start smoking regularly until after Christmas... so I've been smoking regularly for almost 7 months.

I probably smoke with friends more than by myself but it's pretty close.. maybe 55% of the time with friends and 45% of the time by myself .. heh

oh yeah .. and the parents smoke question ... the answer is no.

My parents have both tried it..
recently maybe a month ago or so my dad bought a couple joints off me to try it again but said he didn't like it.

just realized that i never answered my own questions.
i started when i was 15, had just turned like a month before. that was only about two years ago, although it may seem like longer.
i started because i was curious, because my mother did it and i had wanted to try for a long time... i had dreams about it even before i started...
my ma smokes, my father used to do that and other stuff but he doesn't anymore *i don't think*. my stepmother smokes very occasionally and my mother's bf smokes. my little sister's only 10 1/2 but i'm sure she'll grow up to be "one of us" :-)
i have a lot of straightedge friends, the kind that go to AA even. most of them don't know i smoke, but they're still some of the chillest people i know.
most of the time i smoke with friends, although i do occasionally smoke alone. i'll probably smoke alone more often once i have the money to pay for my own pot more often :-( i try not to mooch too much but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I first smoked last September. I was just curious, most of my friends had already tried before.

My parents don't smoke, well i'm pretty sure they don't.

I know someone who's straightedge, but he's not hardcore.

I used to always smoke with just friends, but then I started smoking at home more and more. Now it's more at home, but it's starting to get back to more with friends.

man i started smokin my freshman year in high school, now i am a almighty senoir! watch out here i come, my rents dont smoke at all...i wish they did.

i smoke by myself or with others. i just smoke, i dont care with who.

i have not friends that i hang out with on a regular basis that i would say are straight edge, all my friends smoke pot.....that sounds bad, but it is not heh.

I started smoking bud when I was about 8 months old. My mom tells me that when I was that age I would throw temper tantrums. She said she tried a lot of different remedies but she just couldn't get me to shut up. So she started blowing bud smoke in my face whenever she lit up or she would take me for a nice cruise around town while she would smog the car out.

I actually started in tenth grade. My two friends had been budsmokers in junior high and they wanted me to try it before I turned 16. One night we were in an alley and they lit up a doob. I remember feeling nothing eventhough I hit more than they did. About an hour and a half later I couldn't contain my laughter. I was thinking of the funniest things but at the time I didn't realize it was the green leaves talking to me. February 8, 1997 is a night I'll never forget.


Me and mary jane are tight. She's a h*e sometimes though. She'll let anybody hit it.
