| I was very bummed today to find out that Ken Kesey died today. If you don't know who Ken Kesey is, click: http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/ap/2001...bit_kesey.html I was going to put this under books, but Kesey was so much more than an author. He was an actor, a legalization advocate, a counterculture hero. His work will live on as some of the finest in the 20th century. Rest In Peace, man. ~deadhead~ | |

| Ohh man that makes this day wicked sad. Ken Kesey was the ultimate in counter culture. His works are truely amazing, and the book Electric Kool Aid Acid Test about him and the merry pranksters is truely a great tale describing the times he lived in. A sad day indeed, rest in peace Mr. Kesey, whereever you are. Cleric![]() |

| I am deeply saddened by this news. I would rank Kesey as one of my heros. He lived his life the way he wanted to. And was instrumental in the making of a scene which I am now a part of. A Kerouac quote comes to mine. "I live for the mad ones." Kesey was one of the mad ones. A rare breed. There will never be another like him. There wil always be mad ones, but Kesey cannot be replaced. "Like a steam locomotive, rolling down the track. He's gone, he's gone, and nothings gonna bring him back."
