Well, it appears Im gonna visit Netherlands and Amsterdam this summer!
There's probably gonna be three of us - me, my girlfriend and one guy I know. We can stay at his girlfriend's place about 2 hours ride away from Amsterdam. It's just soooo great )
I couldnt afford tourist trip or anything like that. But this way there would be enough money for me to smoke like a chimney!

Now there's 2 lil' problems or topics or whatever here

1)What should I know before going to Amsterdam? Which are the best strains? Where are the best coffee-shops? How much should I pay for something? Where can I smoke and where cannot? Is it illegal to sell? Is it illegal to walk on the streets smoking a joint? I have heard of something called like "Smoker's Guide To Amsterdam", can u tell me where to find it? Anything else?

2)My girlfriend knows that I smoke weed and she respects that. I've always asked does she have something against that. She always tells me no no the only thing that bothers her is that cannabis is illegal. She's been reading a lot about weed lately and she starts to defend it in some way in her conversations with her parents. They were watching TV one day and there was some lady who was flying over California, detecting and destroying mariuana fields. Her mom was like: "yeah good work". But my girlfriend started to defend it.
I guess it's all because in our country there is alcohol culture. On birthdays, partys, in bars we drink etc. But in other places there's different habits and cultures. In Yamaica for example Anyway I got a bit carried away... I don't know should my girlfriend smoke or not. I mean I would never force her to smoke or anything like that. It would be her own decision.
She's been asking me for several times if I want her to smoke. First I said no but couple of weeks later I told that I really don't know.
I mean this is the girl I want to marry with one day. This is the girl I really love. I am afraid that smoking weed could cause anything in breaknency for example. Or anything else. So could u clarify it all for me? Should she smoke? Should I want her to smoke?

What I would do is tell her that it wouldn't bother you if she smoked or not, because it is her decision. Getting high is probably something you would want to share with the person you love, but you should respect her decision. It sounds like you're not pressuring her, and it also sounds like you don't want to pressure her, which is a good thing. Tell her that you would love to share the experience of getting high with her, but that in the end it is her decision and you will love her no matter what.

Thanks for both of your answers. I really can't say no more at the moment 'cause I'm pretty ****ed up after smoking 1g of Durban Poison with my friend. So I got to finish... typing hgets hard...

But I guess I tell her that I'd like to be high with her but still it's her decision.
I'll let u know when I do it and how it went.

Ya know daniel and i were thinking we are going to go to amsterdam in the spring and we were having a question just like this. When we go we will definitly be getting some info to post on the boards. Then maybe we could answer questions like these better cause i really have no clue. But that site bo-battie suggested is pretty good

The age required to buy and smoke weed is 18. And I'm 19 already :P So there should be no problems. I also know that u can only buy 5g at once.

About smokersguide.com It looks like a great place but I had hoped it's a online book. Now it appears I gotta buy it first. Isn't there anything free?

hahahaha 5g's. wait till you find the more less known about coffee shops i found a coffee shop (south of holland though) they sell you however much you want no questions asked heheh, i just bought 100gilders of White Chief, 25gilders of some nice hash, 25gilders of Silver Pearl and 75 gilders in Joints(10j's) (silver pearl was for some friends and the j's were for some other friends, so i got 100 gilders to buy **** for other people) last friday, thats uhm... way more than 5grams

but yeh, legal amount is about 5g's
my friend and i smoked a PHAT J (10cm long, and about 1cm thick) while walking down the sidewalk in Tilburg right near a police station, but no one seemed to care.
i sometimes see poeple smoking j's in town (near all the shops) so i dunno if its illegal or not... my friend smoked a j in the shopping mall, and 2 cops just told him to put it out and smoe it somewhere else

i'm not sure how much you pay per gram here in the netherlands.... i dont have a scale that measures in grams, hehe

alright man listens (or read) carefully two words: RED DISTRICT I have seen some pics of this street and WOW. Although if the security guards get you with a camera they will bust it. I know i dude that went there and when he took a pic of the window where 3 hot chicks were dancing naked the guards ran after him for 3 blocks till he out ran them. The first place i would go after smoking some good weed would be the red district. too bad you are going with your girl friend. just imagine all those naked ladies.Holland is one of the coolest countries and their soccer uniform is really cool too......
